Team Fortress 2 Lore Discusssion: We make sense out of a hat-simulator

tbh doomsday happened only because the administrator is stockpiling as much australium as she can, althoughb is uncertain if its to extend her life or any other obscure reason.
With a new issue out, there's a lot of lore to be analized.
One big plothole is how Australium actually affetcs Australians, either merely because they are exposed to it(like Engie's grandfather) or because australians are specially suceptible to its effects.
If its the later, it means not everyone in Australia is a giant, overclocked moron and that Australia as a technological superpower might as well no longer be a thing.
I'm confused about Sniper never getting australia chest hair, mustache, etc- it's not based on birth location, right? Radigan Conagher got the effects of australium, but wasn't australian. Sniper should have all the effects if the continuity was the same.

Sniper still lived in the middle of nowhere, whilst Radigan was around the stuff in close quarters for extended periods of time.
It also explains Engis beard in the new comic since he's been near the stuff

So if he were to tear off his upper clothing, a bush of chest hair shaped like Texas would spill all over the Administrator?
You know what would be amazing (but unlikely)?
If the next comic ended on a cliffhanger between the new mercs and the old, and then the next few days, they released the Moonbase update complete with a Mercs vs Mercs SFM.
That'd be awesome. And yes, unlikely, but I can dream.
YOU WERE SO CLOSE
Is Moustachium canon?
Promo items arent technecially canon, so no
Its a non canon australium alloy.
Its a non canon australium alloy.
It's the Original Character of Australium.
I'm curious as to how Saxton is still a hulk while the rest of the Australians have become scrawny wimps.

Saxton Hale's been keeping in shape beating up hippies and endangered species as well as been seen doing push-ups and probably exercises a lot. He also eats lots of steak.
So he's in shape because he actually worked for it, the other australians aren't because they didn't really need to, since they're just average joe dock workers and that sorts.
I think the "Sword Van" was just a little reference to a comic someone made (I can't find the author). But, that would be interesting to see as a basis for a short.
This is the comic that was most likely referenced and the one that BrandoJack is talking about if anyone is curious.

literally everyone is off-model
[sp]though that pyro flamethrower needs to become a thing, ridiculously oversized fuel tank included[/sp]
edit: Don't get me wrong, it's funny and I love that art style. I just don't understand why Pyro is wearing Engie's clothing these days.

Am I missing something, or are you saying that a comic made years ago is referencing a promo image that came out a couple months ago?

So... the TFC mercs are working for the Administrator, too?

We already know the engineer is helping her. He's probably getting the australium.
She's warning miss pauling to run if TFC shows up- They're much more brutal than today mercs

Alone? The Heavy and Scout have a conversation on that very page about how just the two of them couldn't move one cache of Australium by themselves. How would the Engineer have managed to help the Administrator collect ALL of it? Robots?

It's just the way she's so instantly dismissive when Miss Pauling mentions the Medic and the Engineer. Almost as though the Medic is her plant in the TFC squad... :tinfoil:

Engineer has ALWAYS been the most intellegent merc (aside from the medic whos knowledge is less in the machines he uses and more of how he uses them)
Engineer built the remade aussie life extenders for the mann brothers aswell as the premium one for the administrator. More likely than not, he knows a thing or two about where to find some.
As for medic, we already know she's in a rush (for her own life) and probably figures 7 mercs is fine (since the 8th is already keeping her alive) and the 9th is probably fairly useless to her, granted it's the medic but she's never interacted with him
the engineer is the one who is actually aware of the existence of the caches of australium and their locations, based on the files he got from radigan.
seems reasonable to think he's working alongside with ellen since they share a common goal, aparently.
He's in it for the bitchin' beard.

Let's try to fill in those blanks. What is the administrator doing with all that Australium?
trying to stay alive, as she has a life-extender machine.
-snip-
She needs to stay alive to act out the next part of her plan
As she states "I have been stockpiling australium to", which would then note how she stays alive. "thus preventing" me from dying, perhaps.
She then says "in order to", which is the part that shocked the senator.
trying to stay alive, as she has a life-extender machine.
Yeah, that clearly explains Senator Delacourt's shock and immediate need to get home to his family.
EDIT: And Senator Grey's response of: "Dear Lord in Heaven."

Yes, I get that. But does anybody even have an inkling as to what her plan might be?
