Am I the only one who thinks that Medic will somehow save the our mercs from the classic team? Either by 1. doing something incredibly dumb/accidently sabotaging their... uh, uteruses? 2. or actually working for the new team undercover, changing sides in the last second... EDIT: Also, hello Facepunch. Took me long enough to finally create an account here.
I'm thinking more that the Team fortress classic medic will come in to save the day, we haven't seen him yet, and there has to be a reason why he isn't on the Team anymore.
Either way it's likely the TF2 medic will end up back on the TF2 merc's side somehow or another.

Hello, I'm new here and I like this forum so far. Anyway, I'm surprised you guys haven't brought up Spy and Scout's relationship yet. Do you think Spy is Scout's father? Because on one hand, they're giving lots of hints of it in the comics, like Heavy mentioning that Scout's dad "disappears often". Yet the most I think about it, the more it doesn't makes sense. Like, why would Spy leave Scout at an early age? Was it to protect him?Assuming Scout had a very rough childhood and that he later became a mercenary, I don't think Spy is doing a good job in that. Or perhaps we could assume Spy doesn't know that he had child with Scout's mom. I don't know but this thought is bothering me lately.

I don't know but this thought is bothering me lately.
See, when I first saw this image I thought the Scout was telling the absolute truth, It wasn't a real memory and it was just the writers calling back to one of the funniest moments in tf2 history. But then in the following issue the Heavy alludes very heavily to the Spy being the Scouts father. So, retrospectively, I would have to imagine that the above picture is true and the Scout is just trying to lie to himself about it. By that logic I'd have to imagine that the Spy knows all about the Scout being his son. Especially seeing how he is holding a guide on how to pass a dna test in the latest Halloween comic.
. So, retrospectively, I would have to imagine that the above picture is true and the Scout is just trying to lie to himself about it. Ever since that conservation with Heavy and Scout in the 4th comic, I'm really hopeful they could address that issue seriously in future comics. I really do hope that Spy is Scout's father, thought I'm would be okay if he was just his step-dad.
If the respawn clone theory is correct then the mother in the red scouts dream does not actually exist, since the blue scout's mother in meet the spy is real. So if that theory is correct then it means that the original scout was hired by BLU, and that the dream was just a dream and not a memory which makes it unlikely that the spy is scouts father.
Sometimes I feel like the only one that really hates the respawn clone theory, and that the writers don't really have a thought out explanation for it. Honestly, I don't think they need one.
I wonder if the army and the police ever bothered to stop the BLU vs RED war + the robot attack. I mean, both sides have bombs, tons of weapons, rockets, and mass destruction weapons and they don't care about it?
I guessing either they're too stupid too noticed (like the people of Teufort), Gray probably bribe them, or we shouldn't think hard about it.

Soo.. Given that End of the Line was released as an official update.. Should the video be considered canon?
Soo.. Given that End of the Line was released as an official update.. Should the video be considered canon?
one of the first questions mcvee ever answered was that it wasnt canon
Soo.. Given that End of the Line was released as an official update.. Should the video be considered canon?
Even if it were canon, it introduced absolutely nothing that is even important to lore. BLU concocts a scheme to cause massive property damage to RED's established base. RED stops them. This is a cookie-cutter game-plan for almost every single map in the game and holds about as much water as a pot full of holes. Inter-class relationships are showcased as what is already depicted in official media as well, there's no unique characterization or story that wouldn't fit anywhere during the Gravel Wars that encompass the majority of TF2's happenings.
True. Soo.. Did the mercs just stop fighting the robots after Saxton Hale lost Mann Co. to that seven-year old girl? Wouldn't they like, take over the world without them?
True. Soo.. Did the mercs just stop fighting the robots after Saxton Hale lost Mann Co. to that seven-year old girl? Wouldn't they like, take over the world without them?
Gray fired all of the mercs once he became their employer. Gray is only after Australium, which was in Mann Co.'s vault. Gray has no need to fight the mercs anymore because they no longer stood in his way after he took Mann Co. over via the Mann Co. Challenge, as such he doesn't see them as a threat until he learns that all of the australium has been stolen from the vault. It is at this point that he seeks out alternative commandos to track them down so he can find the Administrator, as she is the one responsible for usurping the precious metal. He has them seek out the mercs because they have unnaturally close ties to the Administrator through Ms. Pauling. They refrain from acting as they know that the mercs will lead them to the real prize.
Soo.. Did the mercs just stop fighting the robots after Saxton Hale lost Mann Co. to that seven-year old girl?
Pretty much.
Wouldn't they like, take over the world without them?
What do you mean by them, the mercs or the robots?
The robots.
The robots.
The robots aren't after the world, and, to be frank, if they were the mercs would probably wish them luck and let them go about their business. They're after Mann Co., which the mercs are being paid to protect.
I wanna see an official TF2 movie that takes place before and during the first mission all the classes actually fight together. Based on the comics and movies/shorts, their first mission likely would've been what the original Meet the Medic was supposed to be, but with more all around class interaction.

Can't remember for the life of me what it was called though, but it would be fantastic for a 'per class intro'.
Also, did anybody ever wonder what Miss Pauling did with Scout after Expiration Date when she says she needs to kill the person who pulled a false alarm on the Intel?
Also, did anybody ever wonder what Miss Pauling did with Scout after Expiration Date when she says she needs to kill the person who pulled a false alarm on the Intel?
she killed him, and he respawned.
Was it this one?
That's the one! Always thought it would make a perfect intro for the Soldier (or even a singleplayer campaign).
So, I may not be in the right about this, but, after Merasmus was released from jail after the incident with Tom Jones, and after he had obtained a loan for the Carnival of Carnage from the Yakuza, he had to pay back his debt. But, with the 'murder' of Tom Jones, he had his witchcraft license revoked. So the only way to obtain the money to pay back the Yakuza would be to go and perform for cheap car salesman ads, shouting and yelling about the savings his customers would be endowed with. "Bonus Bucks! Bonus Bucks! Bonus Bucks! Now the bucks are over here, at Sleazy Jim's Used Car Lot!"
You know, I was actually disappointed that the Sniper's adopted parents were dead. I was looking forward to seeing them interact with the mercs.
dont worry, seems like in the world of tf2 being an afterlife ghost isn't really difficult. there's always halloween
Next halloween snipers adoptive parents give a running commentary on the event map like what happends on Helltower.
I have theory about the two teams. I always believed that two teams are doppelgänger of each other. To the point that even experiences are similar to each other. (i.e. That one time where RED Scout mentions the events in A Smissmas Story when it happened to their BLU counterparts.) Sort of inspired by this: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/trivia/buxton.asp What do you guys think?
