The stuff he was saying came about as close to saying it was happening without actually saying it. How Void said that MYM was teasing Valve stuff and part of the teasing seemed to be about the Invasion (not necessarily meaning that that particular hint was Valve stuff though). BANG posted specifically to stop all the people saying that this is an official update, and that the MyM article wasn't supposed to have teases for Invasion. He specifically said that the community project is entirely different than whatever Valve is doing with rd_asteroid. Also, coming very close to saying something isn't evidence, that's making assumptions based on selective hearing. 2. See #1. Those Invasion teasers weren't intended to be in the article and they definitely weren't intended to correlate with a Valve space update, or any involvement from Valve at all. Just because there hasn't been too much news about it doesn't mean Valve is now making the update official. Having the progress being transparent means no hype and not nearly as much excitement. As BANG/Ronin have said, the update still has a way to go and is still WIP. Things get cut and the community would get butt-hurt over it if the project was transparent; turning an awesome community effort into a bunch of people whining [sp]more than usual[/sp]

Y'know. Instead of them referring to what the words meant in 2011 they're talking about what happened in 2013/2014 where we got two updates that were specifically referred to as community updates. But hey, y'know what? Maybe I am totally wrong. It wouldn't be the first time. Maybe I'm reading into things. Why don't we just ask? Can someone in the project just tell us? Is Valve [I]at all[/I] involved. I assume if they aren't you'd have to be a bit mean to not just tell us. It's possible I'm just reading into things (and if I am I'll totally put my hands up and accept it) so we might as well just end the discussion once and for all.
