Just to ask: Anyone know what are "Taunt_western_shoot1" & "Taunt_western_shoot2" for? Haven't encountered them in-game, yet located them inside the sounds VPK.
For Engineer's Square Dance. He makes finger guns and shoots them off and they make that noise.
recently found this while looking at the gun mettle stuff in gmod, not sure if it was discovered yet a bodygroup for what looks like a headshot skull on the stat clock. comes in red and blu
Do the numbers have bones or anything set up for changing them? also whats under the "stat" part?
also whats under the "stat" part?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/UezCNWQ.png[/t] You can kinda see the 'H' on the stattrak

Interesting trend with non-consistent achievement icons in recent years, though I'm sure many of you have noticed: While the Love and War achievement icons are broken in Steam Overlay and end up being displayed too large (so you only see a small portion of the whole image when you get the achievement pop-up while playing), the new Powerhouse achieve images are really low-res, even in the Achievement menu in-game or in Steam itself. You implied there was not enough complaining, so I try and deliver.
Do the numbers have bones or anything set up for changing them? also whats under the "stat" part?
the clock isn't nearly big enough for the dials to rotate and they're modeled as one chunk. I haven't seen them ingame so if they move, it must be animated UV's
Is there a reason the Teufort and the Craftsmann collections don't have cases? Are they getting added in a later update or something?
Is there a reason the Teufort and the Craftsmann collections don't have cases? Are they getting added in a later update or something?
Why would anybody pay for a key to get items that are much less rare than another crate?
Why would anybody pay for a key to get items that are much less rare than another crate?
Because I want the strange versions of some of them. :(
Soooo does anybody have any My Little Pony weapon skins from the new update? It would go great with my scout set :3
Why is this being posted on a MUS thread?
I'm suddenly curious, what exactly does it take to have a developer get a promotional item in TF2 anyway? I mean, they obviously have to talk to Valve about it, but is there like some kind of requirement? Like, is there some huge fee to get it in, does the game have to be big a big, expensive one? Can Indie Developers apply to have promos made for their game?
There are a number of known/implied requirements from back in the day, like "How addicted are the TF2 team to this game?" and "How cool are Valve with the developers of this game in general?" For probably the most recent example, Binding of Isaac Rebirth probably got an extra nudge into getting promos in because Ed and his Team Meat compatriot Tommy are bros with Valve (They worked on the Potato ARG and Tommy occasionally gets invited over to Valve's offices to test weird things like the Vive).
Why is this being posted on a MUS thread?
People were talking about there being less shitposting after the update, it's kinda like Beetlejuice or Bloody Mary.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ML3HtII.png[/t] I was trying new outfit ideas on loadout.tf and found this Spy animation. It looks like he's holding a revolver, but he's hunched over. I hadnt seen it recently, where's it from?

I knew it'd be nothing, I thought it'd be something like that or related to the grappling hook, but I'm too much of an idiot to figure it out myself. :v: Thanks!
I've got an idea that'll rock your socks off: Instead of a completely random drop system, have a drop system like contracts are. You're playing your favorite class and a random challenge pops up that says "get x score" or "backstab x enemies". Completing it would award a weapon for the class you're currently playing. When you get something that isn't a weapon related drop, the challenge should be tougher to indicate a special reward.

But I'd like some new challenges, even if I'd have chairs made of weapons like in the comic :v:

The Air Strike, any of the weapon reskins, and a Heavy glove or two. I'd like to see more unlockable weapons rather than "wait on your ass to get one" or "buy one for a 'scrap'."
I like the contracts idea. However, they'd either have to make it Valve-servers-only (very possible if Matchmaking is the focus of most players' time when it's released), or idling would still be fucking the economy.
I hadn't actually thought about Valve server-only contract drops fixing idle servers bending the low-end economy on it's knees. To be real, though, anyone joining an idle server just for achievements/drops has no respect for themselves.

They're already hurting for population, more things to sap their players away won't do them any good. The only ones that wouldn't be hurting are the big-time ones that never seem to get so much as a dent in their player counts. A better implementation would be to have it in addition to the current system, so players feel rewarded for going out of their way to do some task instead of punished via withholding their pending drops unless they jump through hoops. I'd rather it not be in matchmaking servers because the last thing I want to see in matchmaking are players deliberately trying to grind for particular "achievements" (ie Medics not ubering certain classes because Gotta get Heavy assists) or players avoiding conflict when they're needed (ie trying to get 10 points in a life).
Custom servers basically don't exist anymore. If Valve isn't going to do anything to change that I'd rather have Valve servers be an enjoyable experience than have them avoid features because they'll harm the three half-decent community servers out there and the 3,000 achievement idle minecraft rtd micspam low gravity mlp LIVENUDES! servers.
To be honest I wouldn't actually mind if it outright replaced the current drops, when you'd normally get a drop you'd get an easy contract. It would make it obviously harder, but more fun.
I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere, but apparently Valve severed its business relationship with NECA, causing the indefinite cessation of the TF2 figure line. Why Valve?

I don't know what you expect from that price point, but eh, at least Heavy looks good.
They sure took their time. Hopefully they'll pick someone far more competent
