Has there been any clues lately linking to a major update? The only clue weve gotten was the steam sales, which means that we might get a Summer Update, or maybe they just abandoned all major updates and are just going to add minor stuff.

It's only 1 PST, they have at least 5 more hours to ship something. A VR update could mean nothing, that's probably a different team.

If we dont get a blogpost/update/ARG/new crate tonight then i highly doubt that we are going to get a "summer update."

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of an update [I]just[/I] yet. I mean it's lunchtime at Valve right now, they still have an entire afternoon to potentially push something out.

Well Valve apparently isn't presenting at E3 next week even though there seems to be a lot of VR tech demos. I wonder is Valve is hesitant about releasing a major update during E3.

Likewise, customers will be inundated with video game information and it's easy for people to get lost in their news-feeds.

Think.[/QUOTE] Yeah, I think the reason they put the sale this early is so they will have room in late June and July to do their stuff with TF2 and Dota and god forbid a game announcement. The sale and E3 go well together, because both are noisy anyway.
