Just because that's how CSGO works doesn't mean TF2 has to follow the same rules. They could do something with MvM if they don't want to step on the contracts toes.

As an aside, they could easily extend this campaign system to MvM. Replace the weekly contracts with two free tickets a week(or straight up unlimited, but only get drops once a week?) Add a custom MvM map from the Workshop or elsewhere...

So, now that's the hypes all settled down, what's everyone's opinion on the Gun Mettle comic? I personally thought it was kinda eh, it wasn't funny or anything interesting really. It certainly wasn't worth the time to make when they have a comic series to finish (lol, like that's ever gonna happen). Also i'm not a fan of this new Pauling

Yeah, Pinion did in fact sponsor some servers that Valve used as official ones in CS:GO (called "Pinion White Label") for official casual gameplay, but those seemingly disappeared around the end of Operation Payback, maybe Bravo at the latest.

Her character from WAR! to the first 3 of the TF comic series had been relatively consistent, evolved a bit over time, yeah, but consistent. Then Expiration Date came out and made a bunch of changes to her character, new personality and shit like that. They then put that new Pauling in the comics too.

I wouldn't give rats ass about the twitter thing but Expiration Date also kinda implied she had a thing for Scout so it's kinda conflicting

Which is nice, considering pre-EoTL she was pretty much "the lady that helps Miss Pauling with stuff" instead of having her own personality.

She had personality, but she mostly struck me as a stick in the mud. From her lines in the recent update, I gather she's not a goofy character, but rather someone who has spent most of her time at the office and is now experimenting with social interaction for the first time.

EOTL was when she was given an official role in the game and got voicelines. She became a fully-fledged main character instead of just a side character.
