But you will get notified about the summer seal though:
Paints are only 20% off this year, so pretty much nothing worth buying.
But you will get notified about the summer seal though:
This is so fucking depressing, honestly. They aren't even trying to make the sale humorous. no saxton yelling about beating down the deals, no jokes about the mercs needing hats quick, just "COME GIVE US MONEY!!"
I still think major update will be 500th by this counter. Otherwise why the counter was reset from 497 to 492?
We still have the rest of June and July, if there is a major update it will probably be released at the end of June or the beginning of July.
We still have the rest of June and July, if there is a major update it will probably be released at the end of June or the beginning of July.
Everyone already knows full well there's going to be a summer update, people are just apparently sad it wasn't today. [sp]which is silly considering pretty much every summer update is around the 25th, so i guess people are sad crates weren't added yet.[/sp]
It really is starting to feel like this game is on it's way out.
And only because they stopped giving a shit and are almost trying to kill it, not because it stopped being good. If it petered out and lost it's fun then ok whatever, but watching valve's "It's dead and we killed it" attitude is just insulting and sad in a "kitten sprinting into a fireplace" kind of way
I like the idea of crate drops being added with the update instead of a prior update. It makes getting a crate drop a good feeling instead of getting just another worthless crate.

For some reason, the game crashes after crafting items together into scrap and refined metal. Happened twice so far, might just be me.
Yeah got to agree there, really hate to say it but this is seriously depressing. Its literally the basic Mann co. icon on a blank background with two sentence saying, ''Hey. We have a sale. Yeah, Check that out. I guess.'' Not even trying to get into a summer theme or putting any excitement to it. I'll wait a week or two so were up to the 20th-30th of june before making a judgement of things, calm before the excitement, I hope. What is going on over at Valve?
Some poor interns are trying to keep the servers running while Valve parties with Rockstar in their money filled pool. One would think that after all those years they would be prepared for sales crashing the servers but nope. Still happens. Gets worse each year too.
Don't forget the fact that the MvM update was released in August. Patience is a virtue.
Two months after Pyromania.
Two months after Pyromania.
Not only that but MvM was actually hinted at for a long ass time instead of left by its own.
Aaaaaand I still can't load workshop maps.
Not only that but MvM was actually hinted at for a long ass time instead of left by its own.
I suppose it wasn't all bad. They left us a kickass ARG to figure out. But still, you're not wrong about them leaving it a while.
If you thought this was -the- summer update (the one TF2 gets every year), then I have nothing to even say.
For some reason, the game crashes after crafting items together into scrap and refined metal. Happened twice so far, might just be me.
Tested, confirming on Win7 x86-64. Now where the hell is the minidump (or am I going to have to rush installing TF2 on my Mac mini and use OS X's crash info reporter...)?

So you guys think there may be some hidden goodies in this last update? An ARG would be great right about now..... Worth a check right?
So you guys think there may be some hidden goodies in this last update? An ARG would be great right about now..... Worth a check right?
Why don't you check it by yourself then?
Why don't you check it by yourself then?
how exactly would you go about doing that huh? .... seriously i want to know
Why don't you check it by yourself then?
if i knew how i would, over and over again...
According to the AMA John Patrick Lowrie and Ellen McLain did today, Lowrie hasn't read Blood in the Water as of yet. There's a joke about the comic release schedule in here somewhere.
Is there at least anything good that's on sale?
Just checked the store, here's a rundown on the sale items: - Keys aren't on sale (sort of a given though) - No weapons are for sale - Most taunts are for sale between 25% off to 34% off, with the exceptions of Conga (only 10% off) and boston breakdance (50% off). - Various cosmetics are discounted, doesn't really matter though since most trading sites have them by the truckload - Any items actually worth buying are not on sale. Mann up tickets, surplus vouchers, and name tags are all still full price. - Some of the more expensive paints like team-based ones and black/white are 20% off, which is basically a $0.50 discount. - Gift wrap and pile o' gifts are 25% off. In other words, the Mann Co. sale is pretty much a complete let-down.
They're throwing a rotten piece of tomato for a whole group of starving men.
I'm surprised the update wasn't this week and that we didn't even get crates (unless we get them on a surprise friday mini update) but I'm sure next week will be better.
maybe they are not adding crates this year? I mean, during the halloween crates were on the store, already opened, is there no chance for them to do that with summer crates?
maybe they are not adding crates this year? I mean, during the halloween crates were on the store, already opened, is there no chance for them to do that with summer crates?
Well there seems to be 3 ways Valve does crates for big updates. 1. Add the crate several weeks to a month ahead of the update and have the crate drop with normal crates so people build up a lot of them (see Robocrates, EotL crate) 2. Add crates directly to the store (last Halloween update) 3. Add the crate with the update and increase the crate drop rate (Christmas 2014 update) If a major update is near they could always do 2 or 3.
