Major Update Speculation XXVI: Much Ado About Nothing

I don't know, I don't think it can work as a replacement for TF2, it's the NonHat and less random, from what I have seen on images, version of the game in my opinion. And I would love to play it, but it's a hassle to install. It's a good idea, a really good idea and managed to evolve a LOT since it's conception.
Any game that has random crits is dead to me. Probably why I play tr_walkway exclusively these days.
You're only able to follow an invisible spycicle player using flames if they're a shitty spy.
If there's no wall to airblast them against immediately (which is quite common) and they're not a trash spy, they WILL get away.
I'm still really interested in the Tranq gun.. and how much fuckery you can cause with it

And be useless for 10 seconds. You stopped the spy from doing whatever it is the spy wanted to do

Which is lower than the respawn time, they have their gun still, and they're much closer to the enemy lines / their team than they would be if they respawned. 10 seconds later, they're at full force again -- whereas in most cases they won't have even spawned, in their spawnroom away from the action, if they had died.

Anything better than spycicle arguments at this point
Newsflash: Dota 2 has random crits out the ass. Here's an example, Phantom Assassin's ultimate. Dota 2 is so much more heavily based on RNG, but I don't see people bitching that much about it?
most of the tf2 players bitching about dota 2's state, popularity or valve's devotion towards it are actually unaware that dota 2 major updates are scarce if not way less spaced between each other than they think. let alone dota 2 having its own share of glitches and bugs that need to be fixed if not the massive ammount of rebalancing that the damn thing demands on that daily basis.
you think that the panic attack and the sun on a stick are useless? try having 1/3 of your 100+ hero pool never being used because no one will ever get out of the comfort zone.

Yeah but the difference is DOTA never had good updates and always had useless items unlike TF2
I'm still really interested in the Tranq gun.. and how much fuckery you can cause with it
Suprisingly not much.

Yes.
Yeah but the difference is DOTA never had good updates and always had useless items unlike TF2
It's true.
I mean, unless you treat it like Digital Dress Up dolls, then dress up Crystal Maiden or Axe or almost any of the other heroes to your choosing against their own wills.

c'mon if you're gonna shitpost at least do it right

well dota gets good updates, it's called balance patches and source 2, as well as custom game modes which will rake in a larger player base. maybe you should actually know what you're talking about before making blunt statements.
custom game modes
Yeah, imagine if TF2 got those :downs:
Yeah, imagine if TF2 got those :downs:
cool zinger! It's a shame TF2 has to use source mod and other things when dota can just natively do it.
Dota didn't do shit to tf2's current status. dota has its own share of issues and anyone who spends a good amount of time with the community will sooner or later be aware of said issues.
valve's lack of communication and poor, if not nonexistant PR has been always the bane of all our problems. all this secrecy doesnt do jack shit to a fanbase and a playerbase that isnt eager just for content, but rather of a sign that they havent simply pull the plug on the game as a whole.

nothing was said about the status, I just mentioned custom games because its something that is considered a "good update" to the dota community.

I imagine most DOTA2 players think that TF2 and CSGO get all the love from Valve.
And most CSGO players think that TF2 and DOTA2 get all the love from Valve.
And of course most TF2 players think DOTA 2 and CSGO get all the love from Valve.
Really Valve could probably do a lot better with all 3 games.
oh, i wasn't talking about what you said in particular-
Newsflash: I've played all three. The third statement is true.
I imagine most DOTA2 players think that TF2 and CSGO get all the love from Valve.
Then they're delusional. Who's getting the source 2 port again?
oh, i wasn't talking about what you said in particular-
o ok, my b
theres no way anyone is jealous of tf2's current update status unless they know nothing about it
theres no way anyone is jealous of tf2's current update status unless they know nothing about it
do u know mr. breadlol?
he kno all about update, and tases us. >:(
Then they're delusional. Who's getting the source 2 port again?
its most likely that source 2 gets implemented on dota 2 first, then to the rest.
its not like dota 2 has only got like, 1 hero, one major update and thats all for 2015.(not counting the compendium)
I'm not trying to be mean and I have nothing but respect for the tf2c Dev's and all, but I just can't take it seriously as a replacement for tf2, especially since they kept random crits which is one of the main things driving me away from tf2
no linux servers killed tf2c
Windows Server is just as good, what the hell is the big fuss
Ok, so I've been away for a while, so I'm just catching up now.
So we've got 2 panel teases, a half-assed guestimate from the colorist about the release date, a claim that Pauling is lesbian, and apparently testinglol still teases us with cryptic posts?
Well that sucks.

b-but engie vs spy! competitive matchmaking!
Just don't get overhyped then. I'm trying to bring a spark of hope among those in need of something to speculate on.
[sp]it's not gameplay related[/sp]
I know this was a couple days ago but its not like we are even trying to speculate right now.
What non-gameplay related things could possibly be considered "dope" at this point?
A tf2 movie? A tf2 tv show? (Honestly those ideas dont sound to bad myself....)
Okay but really, what do you guys think?
