The way this is phrased:

Makes me think they plan on having this work with more than just sentry guns. Wrenches that build normal sentries but build alternate teleporters or dispensers.
Maybe it has to do with that Speed Pad thing.

It's 99% the version on the workshop. The biggest difference is it's now cp_snowplow instead of cp_snowplow_rc3.
We recompiled some props, moved around some asset filepaths, reminded Valve that when they renamed the bsp the soundscape text file also needed to be renamed (seriously, we had to remind them how their own engine looks for files). I think there was a thing snipped out here or there but the changes are so trivial I can't even remember what was done. Frozen will know since he was the one actually doing them.

alright, so no mention of rd_asteroid at all in this update, even though it should definitely be ready for release at this point
i'm seeing a couple of possibilities here
1: the finished version of the map is just unceremoniously dropped into the game as a random patch note in tomorrow's update
2: it isn't added until some future update near the end of the year or possibly even later
3: it's added in october, possibly with an rd_asteroid_event counterpart, in some kind of scifi-themed halloween update
that last one would be pretty fantastic. they could even do another campaign using a couple of maps from the mercs vs. aliens contest, that would be great. the only real downside is that all of those space-themed cosmetics in the workshop would probably end up halloween-restricted, but that's a price i'm willing to pay.

The second stage IS the old third stage. Theold second stage was dropped.

Nope. Don't remember.
The only one I remember is I had to nuke the mini-train in the resupply cabinet.
Totally game breaking.

Is the timer still displayed in the same way, showing time until next train damage, or is it a normal timer, showing time until the game is over?

We need to remember that we've only seen stock skins. Also, I think I finally know why we were told to invest in Strange Jags all those years ago... it's finally useful.
I'm pretty sure they mean 3CP as in 5CP. It's been done in maps like [URL="http://www.teamfortress.tv/thread/14780/cp-whitefrost-3cp/?page=1"]whitefrost[/URL] before. Mainly for smaller teams.

Balancing render, it looks like the Afterburners bottom part is sticking out. I guess we'll see tomorrow.
I LOVE these balance changes but some new guns would be nice, too. Especially if they change the fundamentals of the game like the parachute.
