I just noticed there are no Grenade Launcher skins
No melee weapons either. Disappointing, Engineer's only class exclusive stock weapon is the melee.
One good thing about the ammo pack change is that it's less confusing for new players to pickup ammo from dead players. I've run into a lot of people who are suprised by the fact that you can pickup weapons for ammo. Although, dead ringer spies are going to get a hell of a lot more obvious unless they modify it specifically for that watch.
Not only that, you don't have to disable ragdolls/gibs anymore to see the guns.

This is fake hats. You don't need to pay for them.
No melee weapons either. Disappointing, Engineer's only class exclusive stock weapon is the melee.
Reskinned PDA's THEY WERE THERE ALL ALONG.
Jesus the TF2 community complains about everything
you haven't seen cs:go players
also isnt having an ammo pack dropping out of a player every time he/she dies gonna get ugly? just imagine spinning ammo kits lying everywhere absolutely disgusting
It'd be nice to have a unique pickup model for player-dropped ammo to differentiate it from mapper-placed pickups (a discarded backpack, as a nod to TF's Quake heritage?) but it's the least of the problems that could crop up.
I wonder if they remember to snip that out from MvM bots
We'll finally get to use the Deflector minigun. Man this update has real potential to break everything.
Imagine if KS kits can be applied to these new skinned weapons. You run into a guy with: Lime- or pink-painted unusual hat with a gaudy particle effect Lime-painted cosmetic Garish weapon skin + another unusual particle effect + KS sheen + KS eye effect to top it off So that would be 3 particle effects (2 on or around their head), tons of lime paint, and a horribly out of place weapon finish with a sheen to top it off...
We'll finally get to use the Deflector minigun. Man this update has real potential to break everything.
*Two hours after the update* -fixed mvm bots dropping their weapons
We'll finally get to use the Deflector minigun. Man this update has real potential to break everything.
Let's just say, if I can pick up rapid firing demo's nade launcher... I will be happy.
I think some of the ugly skins might be balanced out with the battle wear. Like, this one : isn't really great, but This version looks way better now that you don't see much of the strange yellow face.
Let's just say, if I can pick up rapid firing demo's nade launcher... I will be happy.
Better than that, a whole team with RapidFire nade launchers
I think these are my most preferred NOT SURPRISING THE ONLY GOOD LOOKING ONES ARE THE ONES THAT FOLLOW TF2'S RUSTIC PALETTE
excuse me but you forgot these two well, more the first one, but the second one ain't that bad either
What I'm wondering about is what about the already exsisting stranges. Will they become this new StatClock type or will they stay like they where before. Could I aply a camo to them, or will they forever be stock?
I think some of the ugly skins might be balanced out with the battle wear. Like, this one : isn't really great
But I liked the Jimmy Jam Minigun skin :c Would be cool if we got more company specific skins like that one.
You know what I am really waiting from this update? Updated Valve intro, with spooky head.
But I liked the Jimmy Jam Minigun skin :c Would be cool if we got more company specific skins like that one.
I think it's one of the more tamer ones, like I wouldn't be complaining if that was the most garish the skins got.
Wait, wait. No sign of any hats at the moment? Cool. I like the new skin thing they made though, but if i ever get any. I will probably get myself Battle-Scarred ones cuz they look cooler.
this was asked many times before most likely, but im lazy to check are the maps staying forever or just for the duration of the campaing thing?
They shouldn't have added the new weapon skins IMO. They could've added the new maps, taunts and weapon changes in conjunction with something descent, like Competitive matchmaking
Jesus the TF2 community complains about everything
It appears I forgot on which board I'm on and how it threats mere opinions To better elaborate though, the balance changes would be extremely interesting to see in-game, as well as the new maps and the few true gameplay novelties (althought I admit I'm not that keen on that new weapons stealing thing), but this update does help reinforcing my theory that the main focus of Team Fortress 2 nowadays is cosmetics and "tweaked" weapons showoff, which is something I won't berate someone for liking and looking forward to, but it's totally not my thing and doesn't give me an incentive to come back
Hey cool weapon skins for doing things that's coo-
$5.99
Does anybody know if the campaings are gonna be here forever or are just like the duck journals and will be gone from the store after the update hype is dead?
Does anybody know if the campaings are gonna be here forever or are just like the duck journals and will be gone from the store after the update hype is dead?

a three-month event

Does anybody know if the campaings are gonna be here forever or are just like the duck journals and will be gone from the store after the update hype is dead?
I'ma asumming it's gonna be CS:GO style. When this operation is over, the missions for it will be gone. But, then a new operation will be out a a month or 2 after it.
Repost from the blog thread: Okay, since everyone is complaining about Vacc being "nerfed" I'll give a situation where the changes to Vacc are actually a serious gift. You're a medic. You're running the new Vaccinator, and you've got all 4 bars of Uber. It's time for the push. You can give FOUR PEOPLE 75% BULLET RESISTANCE AT THE SAME TIME TO CHARGE LIKE 3 SENTRIES AND FUCK THAT SHIT UP. "These bubbles do not disappear if the medic stops targeting the current patient. Multiple bubbles of different types can be applied to the same patient or multiple patients given the same resist uber each consuming 1 charge." If you're fast, you can apply bullet and explosive resistance to 2 people and destroy the sentry with even greater effect. Do this with a Quick-Fix medic and basically everything is fucked.
Wait, you guys are telling me you DON'T want to pay for a weapon that looks like it's skinned by an old Nokia 3310 cover?
I'm just imagining Vacc medics just ubering (bubbling?) like 10 people with bullet resistance, dropping down onto the sentry spot in dustbowl's second stage without even having to leave that tunnel "These bubbles do not disappear if the medic stops targeting the current patient." This means you can pop (heheh) a bubble on people without having to follow them, you can stay behind and bubble other people. I think you'll find the Vaccinator is more useful now than before.
