[sp]I mean seriously how is it this game not banned, he fucking rips his spine out[/sp]
I lol'd that Valve [sp]referenced Christain brutal sniper[/sp]
also I'm surprised how often they say "fuck" in this game I thought they didn't like to put that in their games.
Gah, can't wait to try it
The download is taking ages :argh:
Has anyone tried out the co-op yet? I can't seem to get it to work.
Hmmh...at the risk of boxes, I can't seem to find a link anywhere...
Alright, so im fighting a couple sentries on Dustbowl, so I go on the normal path when all of a sudden a glitchy heavy is standing in my way. I shoot him, I whack him with my fists, but he just stands there. What do I do! I tried to restart but he's always there!
You can trust me, I have a Platinum Medal on the Spy campaign.
What I did was I sapped the sentries causing the heavies to come but I told the sniper to hide behind a box. I disguised as a Heavy and they killed each other because they didn't know who the Spy was.
Also it goes without saying, the Pyro is handled by the Sniper.

Call Soldier again and tell him to make a distraction.
DON'T Tell him to tank the sentries, he'll die.
The above suggestions work too.
EDIT: Sorry, you can only call in soldier if you did the "Surplus of Soup" mission.

There're two processors that control the sentries. Sap the auxiliary one, disguise as a pyro and mumble incoherently at the RED engy whilst pointing at the PRIMARY processor. He'll interpret your mumbling as "the PP is acting up, you might want to shut it down for maintenance". Leave immediately, as you've only got 3 minutes before he realises it's fine and the auxiliary is down, use that 3 minute bracket to escort Sniper out of the base, but make sure you switch your disguise to heavy. The speed reduction wont matter as there are no sentries toward the exit.
It's nice that Valve has made the game so open-ended. One of the things I hate about the Half-Life series is that there's often only one way to get past an obstacle.
Is there any way to speed up the travel between areas? It seems to take forever to get any where, and none of the characters in my party have damaged legs, or heavy weapons.
Can anyone help me with this then?
Can anyone help me with this then?
At each of the areas there is a teleporter exit, activate them and you can fast travel. This only works if you have a teleporter entrance in your backpack though.

Thanks for telling me that. I have a teleporter entrance in my backpack, but I didn't want to delete it or craft it in case it was useful.
Fuck, I can't get past the fourth mission in the Engie campaign, where you have to hold Hydro for 10 minutes. The demoman keeps fucking up my shit just as I set up everything
build in the little room near the sniper and get the heavy to stand on the point with medic
[editline]07:20PM[/editline]
[sp]But be careful, if you expose yourself, the other sniper will kill you quickly[/sp]

Craft a sticky launcher and a gunslinger; it allows you to put sentries onto walls and ceilings with the cost of 30 extra metal - combine that with the upgrade you get after you get Level 30 which allows you to build multiple sentries and the level is pretty easy. Just put them on the ceilings on key locations, like in the litle hut in the middle of the giant bowl and you can do the level fairly easily.
also, on the ninth minute, come out and shotgun the enemy medic to get an achievement

automerge

wasn't it sticky launcher and huntsman?
Playing the 5th Sniper mission now. And god damn is it hard. I'm at the part where [SP] The Engies Tank smashes down the base doors at Well and you have to escape, but he always kills me when I get close to the front door. Any ideas what to do? I even got Demoman to try and blow his tank up with sticky bombs but he got killed.[/SP]
Nah, Sticky Launcher and Huntsman just let's you shoot sticky bombs really far.

get the sniper to try and snipe him, he will miss, but it will buy you enough time to close the doors

Throw Jarate at the robot, it disables the robot for a few seconds. You can use this window of opportunity to either run straight out of the front doors (risky) or take the one-way well exit that leads to the water outside. Then move from cover to cover as you get towards the train, but be quick because it leaves after a set amount of time.
has anyone else found the spy in the 5th heavy mission? he keeps backstabbing the medic before i get cut down by the huntsman snipers on dustbowl
He's clinging to the ceiling, it's part of Valve's little joke that "gamers never look up".
damnit, i knew i heard him.
meanwhile: has anyone else seen the engi's dog easter egg?
[editline]07:52PM[/editline]
in the engi campaign, last level, at red spawn, past the generators, you can find engi's dog in a cage, captured by red's. you can break him and and send him to battle if you shoot the lock
Ok I got past that part at the Sniper mission. Now I'm on the train heading to Coldfront but apparently theres this spy thats on broad to. He killed a Medic and he could be any one of us! I've checked almost all of the train cars with pyro but we still didn't find him. I couldn't get in the storage room though. And Heavy won't give me the key to it in case i'm the spy.

Thats because the Pyro you've been doing spy checks with IS the spy.
its not pyro, it's [sp]sniper[/sp]
Did I confuse campaigns then? Its been a while since I last played.
I can't get through the mission where you have to backstab an Engineer and his robot.
its not pyro, it's [sp]sniper[/sp]
Yeah, if you can convince the Pyro that it's rather suspicious that [sp]there are two Snipers on the same mission[/sp] he'll set the spy on fire.
[editline]08:28PM[/editline]
Once you kill the spy, the Heavy gives you the key to the storeroom where you can find a rather substantial cache of weapons and metal.
Umm guys? What song do I have to play on my guitar to make it rain? I need to flood that pool in Engie's campaign.
What is this TF2 campaign and how do I unlock it :/

It should be in your "Not Currently Installed" list, otherwise contact Steam Support. I think there's also a tool that let's you download it, I've forgotten the name. It's to fix an issue caused by buying it with the Orange Box rather than standalone.

The tool is called the Valve Revalidation Kit.
