Except Valve wouldn't write "tele" and "ubers" and "Engi".
Those ideas look really nice, but I find all 3 somewhat underpowered. Mainly the grenade launcher.
I still like the idea of being able to build 3 level 1 sentries, or two level 2 sentries or just 1 level 3.... and being able to build the level one's on Walls/ceilings

Anyone remember the guard dog thing Valve teased a while back?
I think the engi should have something like that, a big mechanical dog that follows him arounds and acts as a Dispenser and Level 1 Sentry, he could in to combat with his dog and be both a battle engi AND help his team. Would replace the Sentry and the Dispensers, but not the tele's, just cause.

Really, the main reason Engineers don't need any anti-Spy weaponry of any sort is that they already have almost every advantage.
The Engineer:
-Decides the location
-Has a more powerful weapon at the ranges he's likely to engage the Spy
-Has an instant-win button in the Sentry (unsapped Sentry+undisguised Spy=dead Spy)
-Has a constant source of health (so long as he can keep his dispenser unsapped)
-Is almost guaranteed to have teammates (if he's doing his job right) while the Spy has none (if the Engineer's teammates are doing [I]their[/I] jobs right)
Basically, the only reason a Spy should ever beat an Engineer is if the Engineer lets himself get outsmarted and outgunned. VALVe shouldn't make it any easier for the Engy than it already is.
Of course, there [i]are[/i] things the Spy can do, but only if the Engineer lets him get away with it.

It was fanmade, and Valve was acknowledging how well made it is.
I like The tazer idea but the Gas one kinda moves in on the Demo's turf
tazer is rubbish. the last thing we need is more shit to ruin spies. the sniper update resulted in more than enough anti-spy weaponry as it is.
EMP grenade is stupid. engineers should not be the classes that are running into sentry infested areas and tossing grenades, that's the job of the demoman.
the grenade launcher makes no sense and is equally retarded. it doesn't fit the engineer's class, nor does it really seem useful at all.
The tazer would actually be pretty nice and i can think of some lines for the other classes when they get tazed (one of them was already said "don't taze me bro")
But the gas launcher and the grenade eh not so much. We need a wrench and some damn new buildables.
I want to use the god damn extension cord on the Engie's belt.
