Oh damn, forgot that :V I just can't forget everything like that. And let's not spam this thread a lot, we'll discuss on Steam.
Do what I used to do, and make a "To-do list", with things such as: - Set FOV to 15 - 3 layers, Black, White, Brown. - Maximum Height: 328px [editline]20th April 2013[/editline] Also so this page is nothing but tips and advice, v9 soon.
I don't think a manequin is needed for this one.
there's no backfaces to hide, and using Heavy implies it's for Heavy not all class (I know other allclass icons do this, but it's good to keep it to a minimum imo)
I wish instead of class mannequins it was just general ones like with the crafty hair
I never want to see that model used again
I never want to see that model used again
Well maybe not that exact model, but a general mannequin instead of a specific class.
Seems like it doesn't work anymore, just like any other custom mods applied to TF2... I tried the tf/custom/ folder method, didn't worked, anyone that could help us? :(
This is probably better suited too the emporium but: -skins, textures and such only ever need to be installed in one of the default folders in "tf." Any other folders will be built in to the one you're installing. -depending on how high the sv_pure level is set on the server you're playing on, it could force all of your mods back to the default for as long as you stay on the server. EDIT: nevermind, you were talking about .vpk files
I'd like to add that Ragnar and I have just converted to the .vpk system, and everything is running smoothly. What does this mean for those who don't know what's going on? Well that means downloading and installing icons will be a snap for you, and it'll be more uniformed for us!
I got it working with a VPK file. I will post it if anyone wants it. Edit: Here you go:
The model viewer doesn't work with steampipe :( do you know how to fix it?

You dont need to convert it to vpk... just drop the material in any subfolder in custom...
(Cross-posting from the Emporium.) Hey look, it's a thing.
Now that it's all in a .vpk does that mean we can delete the all the vtf files from previous installations?
Yup.
If I have other custom icons, could I somehow put them into the vpk so that it updates with those icons? Or can I just keep the vtfs in the custom/tf/material folder for the old icons and use the vpk for this new set and have the custom ones work with the vpk ones?
Yeah, with the icons being in a .vpk now what happens to all the alt icons this pack had?
Yeah, with the icons being in a .vpk now what happens to all the alt icons this pack had?
Just whap 'em in a subfolder of /custom/ and they'll be read after the VPKs.
Do you have a non-vpk version? Why vpk are better than folders?
Do you have a non-vpk version? Why vpk are better than folders?
engine loads the files faster
Just whap 'em in a subfolder of /custom/ and they'll be read after the VPKs.
I found you don't need to make a subfolder for VPK files, only loose ones. I dumped a whole lot of converted vpk files (including the one included in this thread) straight into Custom and it reads 'em fine.
Yeah, with the icons being in a .vpk now what happens to all the alt icons this pack had?
A) Ever since Ceiling Man and I took over there haven't been alt icons. B) Along with what The Kins said, VPKs are loaded alphabetically so you could just name an alt icon VPK something that'll be loaded after the main VPK.
Oh, lucky I always just added the ones I didn't have from your pack then, you got rid of them because you guys were busy enough with the missing icons or because TF2b didn't need them or what?
Oh, lucky I always just added the ones I didn't have from your pack then, you got rid of them because you guys were busy enough with the missing icons or because TF2b didn't need them or what?
Do you happen to have the alt fists icon? I accidentally deleted mine.

We'll probably do alt icons in the future now that we've had that initial workload long out of the way.
engine loads the files faster
Does this mean that the horrible stuttering I got when I had the whole pack installed is now gone? I'm gonna have to try this out. By the way, you guys are so awesome for keeping this project up and I'm honored that my name is still on it here and there. Love you. <3
It's been shoved to a minor name behind TF2B, though. :|
Well, as it should be. I haven't been on the project in a loooong time.
This might of been said already but I left the .vpk on the tf>custom>my custom and it wont work, everytime I load TF2 it doesnt show a difference with the bp icons
This might of been said already but I left the .vpk on the tf>custom>my custom and it wont work, everytime I load TF2 it doesnt show a difference with the bp icons
why "my custom" folder? just put it in tf/custom.
