I feel so bad for him...
I can't wait for better icons for my Festives.
And Waiting :|

Just be patient, I know from personal experience that it takes plenty of time to perfect a backpack icon
Hi yes this thing isn't dead! Sorry about that and for this mega necrobump.
Well, it's been dead for a while but I'm actually actively making icons again now! Hooray.
Here's two questions I feel I should answer:
1) Why did the icons die for a while?
For me, it was getting into Dota 2 and playing pretty much nothing but that. Ceiling Man's also had real life things to deal with, namely being an adult.
2) What's the ETA on the next update?
Haha I can't even remotely begin to guess, there's so much crap to do. Pretty much everything from a little before Two Cities onward isn't done.
As a way of saying sorry, have an Australium icon:

If you need any help with models or textures, let me know, I might be able to do something.

I'd love to help out in my spare time (which is very limited due to working 12 hour shifts and being an adult).
Weapon positions for use in Regedit to pre-position things would be helpful.
Also, after looking at that icon you posted, I can still see some grey from the HLMV background. It's in between the lever and the gun itself. I've circled it here:

(What can I say? I'm a perfectionist and I tend to notice the tiniest things)
So...is this still a thing?
I use TF2B icons since release. I'd love to help but I have no graphical skills whatsoever.
Oh well, best of luck to you
Sweet Jesus, you guys have your work cut out for you. You guys need to get paid for this shit.
So... any news?
It's too much to handle now. I think maybe like weapons should be the only thing done now, its to much to get every hat that they added.
sorry if this is already a thing and i'm just incredibly late, but i think you guys should organize a group or something where as shugo icon creators you can get together, share a dropbox or something and start a google doc where everything is categorized and labeled whether or not it's done. as you progressively get icons done you can update the doc and dropbox link. that way you guys can just gradually get stuff done without any real need to rush.
I wanted to help and did these a while ago. I recently found them again on my computer, so I might as well release these to the public. I only did the australium, holiday and L&W weapons.
And here's a preview because I don't know how to display images from mediafire.
EDIT: Updated the icons. Sappers should be (more) consistent and swapped the Bread-Jarate and Bread-Milk icons to be correct.

They're... beautiful!
EDIT:Um, the Bread Milk and Jarate icons are switched and uses the bread milk for the bread jarate & vice versa
Also the Bread sapper is inconsistent compared to the other sapper icons and the Bread GRU icon doesn't appear

The GRU wouldn't pose correctly for me and looked too inconsistent, so I left it out. Sorry about that. :(
The Milk and Jarate, yes. I will fix that ASAP, along with the sapper.
EDIT1: Fixed!
EDIT2: Here's just the new icons on their own.
Any chance of a few preview images?

You're doing god's work, my friend.
Do you think you could put up a download with just the new icons you've done, rather than them mixed in with what seems to be an out of date set of the TF2B icons?

How do you guys make these huge vpk with size nearly a gigabyte? I tried to combine v9 with Marrow's new Shugo icons, but when converting, the vpk.exe window just stand there for a few seconds and close itself, with no vpk file appearing. My vpk.exe can handle files under 500 mb, but higher than that, it does the mentioned problem.
Oh, and it's my first post here at Facepunch, hooray?

I sometimes convert more than 1 GB and I never had this problem...
Maybe you can check if there are "corrupted" files in the files you're trying to convert, it may cause problems.
Second option, write a quick .bat file to prevent the console from closing and see if it says any errors.
A little help, type this in a .txt file and then rename it to .bat and place it in the folder where you convert the stuff:
C:/"Program Files(x86)"/Steam/SteamApps/"Team Fortress 2"/bin/vpk.exe "nameofthefoldertoconvert"
pause
Oh, and welcome to Facepunch.

Anyone care to explain how to install this? Seems a bit more complicated than just placing in the custom folder, that doesn't seem to work.

make a new folder in custom, make a "materials" folder in that folder, and then drop the "backpack" folder into that one. not sure why he didnt upload it like that in the first place.
