It's a shame the hachimaki is not worth much anymore, maybe a bills hat. I think it'll go down even more now with the other hachimaki being sold for Japan.

He was already overpaying (Whiskered and Mirror), but I asked him to add in the Pugilist aswell. Now I'm four hats richer and trading the Whiskered and Mirror or any combination of them to reobtain Buds.

Whiskered and Mirror are overpaying? I think you've got your values wrong.
E: Ideally, you could get 7 keys for the Whiskers, 3 for the Ushanka and 2 for the mirror.
