Managed to optimize my Beatbacker down from 1700 polys to roughly 1000. Still over the recommended amount but I can't do much else without compromising any semblance of quality. If any of my hats have a chance then this is my best bet.

I don't think they'll accept hats for multiple classes since there will probably be dozens of new hats for each character anyway. Waste of resources. Also, I don't want to recompile it for everyone again.

You know how The Soldier's Meet The Team page has something like "He was given several medals, all of which were designed and made by himself"? Maybe give the soldier these home-made medals They'd look like bottlecaps/jartops with engravings on them, attached with ribbon to his uniform.
