I need to start learning how to model. I get too many god damn ideas.
Sorry, but I've already made one.
kk should it be team colored? :v:
How would you team color a moustache? It's brown or brown.
Sorry, but I've already made one.
oh shit sory i'll remove mine
I know I was just kidding p.s. I'm making it black because the medick's hair is black.
I know I was just kidding p.s. I'm making it black because the medick's hair is black.
Yeah. Darkish brown. You could just use the medic's sheet.
All colors are just an inferior shade of brown.
Or brown is just an inferior shade of orange/red/yellow?
I can't get the texture to work [editline]01:44PM[/editline] my qc file:
$cd "C:\Users\Mostafa\Desktop\Medic\hat\" $modelname "player\items\medic\medic_domination.mdl" $model "Body" "mstche.smd" $cdmaterials "models\player\items\medic\medic_domination.vtf" $surfaceprop "wood" $illumposition 0.349 0.000 80.672 $sequence idle "idle" fps 30.00

I can't get the texture to work [editline]01:44PM[/editline] my qc file:
$cd "C:\Users\Mostafa\Desktop\Medic\hat\" $modelname "player\items\medic\medic_domination.mdl" $model "Body" "mstche.smd" $cdmaterials "models\player\items\medic\medic_domination.vtf" $surfaceprop "wood" $illumposition 0.349 0.000 80.672 $sequence idle "idle" fps 30.00

Have you applied the texture in 3dsmax? It HAS to have the same name as the .vmt
Yes I applied it and umm . . . vmt?
Yes I applied it and umm . . . vmt?
vmt and vtf. You need them, ofcourse.
3D max went apeshit and won't let me load the binoculars :/
Try this .qc
$cd "C:\Users\Mostafa\Desktop\Medic\hat\" $modelname "player\items\medic\medic_domination.mdl" $model "Body" "mstche.smd" $cdmaterials "models\player\items\medic" $surfaceprop "wood" $illumposition 0.349 0.000 80.672 $sequence idle "idle" fps 30.00

vmt and vtf. You need them, ofcourse.
What's a vmt? (derp :downs:)
What's a vmt? (derp :downs:)
It's the thing that tells the game where the actual texture is. the VTF is the Valve Texture File, that saves the actual image. the VMT is the Valve Material Type, it's what tells the model where the texture is and what it's made of, glass, metal etc. You need a VMT for every VTF so that the engine knows what to render. Then again, assuming you're using the Gibus' texture, you don't need to make one, you just need to apply the .tga for the gibus and then choose the right folder for the material.
aww fuck, I made a VMT out of my texture using 'vtfedit', and then the moment I refreshed my model, it disappeared [editline]02:17PM[/editline] it WORKS I am the shit :smug: [editline]02:18PM[/editline] Going to make some screenies, then I'll post it on fpsbanana as well as make a promo then submit it to valve [editline]02:26PM[/editline] fuck yes
fuck yes
This reminds me more of Stalin than of any German
Done. My first model. How satisfying.

I saved it as jpeg for some reason Here's the png one:
About the "Wan Hu", perhap you could replace one of the pipes with a used chinese firework rocket. It would fit the chinese theme, it would make it stand out more, it could somewhat explain it's new mechanics, and it would make it look more "customized". (Sorry about not replying directly to the post, I'm using my cellphone to write with as I'm on my way to classical music concert.)
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I was wondering if someone could fix this knife replacement a bit: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/37207 Since it's currently outdated, it's missing the "preparing for a backstab"-animation. The team-colour on the spy's arms in first person seems to have been replaced by a grey colour. I'd also like the backstab animation to be a bit faster (in-game when I backstab someone with it, they die before the hit appears to have landed). A world model is not necessary. Please? I'd be very thankful if someone could do this.
About the "Wan Hu", perhap you could replace one of the pipes with a used chinese firework rocket...
I voted for a disagree. What Pipes are you talking about? My idea would be, that every deflected rocket turns into a chinese fireworks rocket. I mean, thats Wan Hu's "destination", right?
Alright I submitted my shit to FPSB, Valve Contribute, and The Emporium. My job here is done. :buddy:
I'm so awesome, I fixed the Scottish Resistance.
I wish i got model. I can skin about tho. I am going to see if i can find a tut on how to model. But could i post some reskins? Like if i get better.
Sure, but remember, quality in front of quantity. That and don't do it like Stormsilver did.
