Now how can I say no to a nice lady like that?
This is nice. The voice really fits the character. The accent isn't over-exaggerated, the tone stays roughly the same as the original... You are really good at this!

Wow, thanks DOR! Totally badass. Thanks for sharing.

Rigging is nowhere near done, but I wanted to share some progress. Haven't had time to work on the texturing, but next time I update this I want to have a sheet with some color scheme variations on stripes, buttons, etc. to hear what people like the best. "Well off to visit your mother!" Now how is that going to work for a female spy?
"Well off to visit your mother!" Now how is that going to work for a female spy?
I just don't know how lesbians have been doing it this whole time
Why do I feel people who are using these female packs towards the end will pretty much have Dustyrose all over the place. [sp]no offence you are a lovely voice actress, but there is a point when it will become noticeable it is the same lady doing all, verity is the spice of life and all.[/sp]
"Well off to visit your mother!" Now how is that going to work for a female spy?
They could be just friends, you know.
"Well off to visit your mother!" Now how is that going to work for a female spy?
It'd be amusing if they switch it to "Father." Turns out that all of Scout's immediate family members are being screwed by enemy Spies. They constantly high-five each other whenever he's not looking.
Hey, I almost forgot about this. Glad to see it's coming along nicely!
It'd be amusing if they switch it to "Father."
Hint: Watch the youtube that was posted.
Hint: Watch the youtube that was posted.
I said that it'd be amusing if they did, not that they will or would :colbert:
I said that it'd be amusing if they did, not that they will or would :colbert:
Well the youtube video answered that they wouldn't switch it to "father" I don't think he ever doubted that you were making an assumption but it was disproved in the video
I'd made the incorrect assumption that he was suggesting it. I apologise.
Now how can I say no to a nice lady like that?
I must say, this is very good, a lot better than pretty much all fan-made soundpacks I've heard, but some parts, although they are quite stressed by Spy, are slightly too stressed for a fem-spy. I dunno, as arrogant as a French fem-spy may be, she probably wouldn't be shouting at her enemies so much. Just my two pence.

I'm arrogant and i yell at my enemies. I don't use the mic, though i just shout at the screen and taunt them even though they won't hear it. I wonder if it's the same thing? But yeah, i get your point she's supposed to be undercover and all. But since when was TF2 so serious? To the Spy, this mission is a theme park ride. A piece of cake.
I really hope you still plan on doing a female Pyro some day ChemicalAlia. You had 2 issues. 1. You felt that the suit shouldn't change too much since in the army, men and women aren't dressed differently. 2. You felt Pyro's body was so ambiguous that it would be hard to make a female version of the body. I have 2 remarks. 1. The uniforms in TF2 are heavily personalized. 2. Pyro's body is perhaps not as ambiguous as people think. To explain 1. The uniforms in TF2 are heavily personalized. Even if in the army you would be given the same uniform no matter the gender, the TF2 crew does not wear regular uniforms. Their uniforms are adjusted to both the personality, and the utility of the classes they belong to. Engineer does for example wear his hardhat backwards, Spy wears a formal suit, and Sniper wears sunglasses and a hat. To explain 2. As a slim person with a bad posture, I believe myself to have a pretty good idea of what Pyro's body might look like under his suit. You see, Pyro uses heavy equipment. He uses a heavy tank on his back, he's got a small pack on his hips, and he is very front heavy due to the weight of his grenades and flamethrower. I sadly saw a resemblance in the mirror when I wear my heavy packpack, and such I came to compare my body structure to Pyro. 1. A normal slender person. 2. Put a heavy pressure tank on his back, his body adjusts to the weight. 3. Give him further weight to carry, and make him carry something heavy with both hands. His body adjusts to the weight, and his knees bend to help carry the weight. My conclusion is that under the suit is a normal person, whose posture has been distinctively adjusted to the extreme weight of the equipment he carries. [sp]Drr... Drr... Drr...[/sp] I believe that a female body with her posture adjusted to the weight of Pyro's equipment, would give you a Pyro that looks different from the male one. [editline]5th January 2011[/editline] If it weren't for the fact that I can't figure how the hell to take pictures with my webcam, I would give you a picture of myself in each stance for comparison.
It would be great to get some feedback on these color variations, I'm ready to set the final color scheme and move on. I won't say which details I'm leaning towards because I want to hear your thoughts. The main areas of concern are the buttons, cuffs/pockets, scarf/lenses, and the width of the stripes on the pantyhose. It doesn't have to be in this configuration, if you like the buttons of one, but the stripes on another, that's fine. Sorry about lack of striped coat, but I predicted too much stretching and don't want to redo the uvs (unless I get really ambitious this weekend). I don't think it goes with the style of coat she's wearing, anyway. She is still lacking some wrinkles and other normal map-type stuff, but here she is with proper shader stuff, eyeballs, and finally some gradient opacity on the sunglasses. Once I'm certain everything else is finalized, I will move on to the facial expressions, final testing and get this thing ready for release.
1. The uniforms in TF2 are heavily personalized. 2. Pyro's body is perhaps not as ambiguous as people think.
Interesting. I still haven't ruled out doing a Pyro at all, though there's a few classes I definitely want to get done before I would move ahead with that one. It seems like you're suggesting that the body type would effect the posture, which would then be realized through how the Pyro carries him/herself, it's a very good point, and very true. My only concern is how that would be achievable, since the pose/posture/animated movements are the most rigid and unchanged constraint we're working with. The female characters have to hold themselves in the same way and use the same poses, so the design has to make sense for both versions, and that lack of subtlety is my biggest problem with doing the Pyro. Definitely worth some thought, though.
Holy shit. In another note, 5B is the best in my opinion
I like 1AB and 5AB the most. Amazing as usual.
I like 3A+4B, great to see more of this.
5A and 5B!
I don't like the way the headscarf is coloured in the last two sets on red, and the last set on blu. I'd like them more if they were the same colour as the ones in the beginning.
The main areas of concern are the buttons, cuffs/pockets, scarf/lenses, and the width of the stripes on the pantyhose.
Buttons: Like the light colored ones, 5A 4B Cuffs/Pockets: Don't really think the red 1A team colored ones work, maybe they are too light? So I'll say 4A and 5B with pockets matching the cuffs. Scarf: Darker colored scarf looks best. Glasses: Can't tell much difference in them, looks good how you have it. I could probably be convinced into liking slight team coloring like in 4B though, has a 60s vibe too it. Stockings: I think thin stripes are the way too go personally.Think they just look classier. Great work as always. Really interested in seeing how you'll interpret the Engi.
I like the slight team colouring on the glasses for red, but on blu it looks too tinted or something. Sorry to trickle out opinions like this, but it's how my brain works :v:
My personal opinion on the models is 4a, and 1b. The red color looks too saturated on RED, but the brown fits rather nicely. On blue, the blue colors still fits well. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] Also, I didn't notice the change to the headscarf. I agree that the slightly darker ones were better. I also like the buttons better when colored dark.
"Well off to visit your mother!" Now how is that going to work for a female spy?
The spy being bisexual would be rather fitting, don't you think? :v:
