Interesting. I still haven't ruled out doing a Pyro at all, though there's a few classes I definitely want to get done before I would move ahead with that one. It seems like you're suggesting that the body type would effect the posture, which would then be realized through how the Pyro carries him/herself, it's a very good point, and very true. My only concern is how that would be achievable, since the pose/posture/animated movements are the most rigid and unchanged constraint we're working with. The female characters have to hold themselves in the same way and use the same poses, so the design has to make sense for both versions, and that lack of subtlety is my biggest problem with doing the Pyro. Well considering that she has the Fez on but not the Fez's sunglasses, I'm sure that CA will anticipate that with the Party Phantom.
On the topic of the glasses, perhaps you should have the brim of the glasses colored similar to the sleeves in 1b for Blu, and a somewhat less saturated color of 1a for Red. I think it would resemble how Spy's balaclava masks his face a little better.
Then again it might also look horrible, and it wouldn't fit the Fez as good I'd reckon.
I just wanted to get the though out there, just in case it would be a good idea.

I think I tried that early on and a bunch of people hated it, but I'd be happy to see how it looks now that the rest of it is more refined.

you misunderstand me, I mean the le,party phantom looks like someone purposely wedged it over their own sunglasses in an attempt to wear both at the same time.

Oh my god. I decompiled, fitted, and recompiled like 15-16 hats last night, and THERE ARE STILL MORE HATS.
I'm gonna make the fez shorter and tilt it to the side a little more. I had to shrink it because placing it right on top of the scarf caused it to look too tall, but I think a shorter cap will look better in her case.
Earbuds and the stupid top hat are being retarded at the moment, and I might have to do something else entirely for the masquerade mask. I really wanted to figure a way to remove the sunglasses with a replacemodel or whatever is used in the .qc to swap the default hat-wearing classes, but that might be too complicated for me to figure out right now.

For that, you will have to make them a [url="http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/$bodygroup"]bodygroup[/url] in the player model, like this:

Unfortunately, it's the items_game.txt file that defines if a hat hides the bodygroups or not, so it would only work for a handful of them, more precisely on the allclass ones, since none of the spy-only ones need to remove any bodygroups, so it's not that useful to add them as a bodygroup.

Ah yeah, that's what I had tried, creating a bodygroup. I think it may not have worked for the reason you stated. If I can get it working, it'd be cool to swap out the sunglasses with one of the all_class hats, but I guess I'll have to make other plans for the mask.
Another in-between update, spent the whole weekend troubleshooting, re-uv mapping stuff, smoothing out the rigging, and re-compiling 8000000 hats (with still more to go). But I got some shots in-game yesterday to see how things are starting to look.

I was freaking out about getting the viewmodel arms to work with all the v and c_model weapons, but then I came up with an awesome ghetto solution and I can't wait to share it. Next on the list is facial expressions, normal maps, and HUD/UI/menu images.
