Yeah, too bad someone already confirmed that you cannot add a default hat to a model (in Alia's previous Female Spy thread) so you could make it more like the other classes that come with default hats (sniper, soldier, engie, scout). Kinda sad that all that work would go unseen.
It could be released later as a mod to the mod :v:

I had hoped it would be possible to code that somehow, but oh well.
It could be released later as a mod to the mod :v:
My thoughts exactly. That's why I still modeled it out.

I think that if the default male characters don't have hats, then their female counterparts shouldn't have hats either.

I was concerned at the time with people who might take the designs as too much of a direct translation, and didn't really have an idea of how they would be received.

I was concerned at the time with people who might take the designs as too much of a direct translation, and didn't really have an idea of how they would be received.
I personally actually prefer them to be translations as much as possible :v: I love the characters in TF2, and therefor I don't like much when someone makes versions of them that don't fit the personality of the character they replace.

It's a pet peeve to see someone redesign a character that might as well just be called a completely original creation. I think a lot of people just want to show off their creativity, but being able to produce something interesting while adhering to limitations and guidelines is always more impressive to me.
Congrats on winning the polycount contest!

Contragulations on the Polypack! Finally a new knife and cool revolver :buddy:
This is gonna be weird with the male spy voice
Will you be rigging your polycount items to work on the female spy ahead of time, and can we see what it looks like?
This is gonna be weird with the male spy voice
That's why she's hoping someone who can do a female spy voice well volunteers. She got the Medic and Heavy females from people volunteering before. Edit: VVVV Well someone's on the ball.

Hey Alia, congrats on the pack and all, do you think you could show us a picture of what the revolver looks like in his hand (sorry for off topic). I'm just really curious what it looks like and how it fits with the TF2 style. It looks pretty damn awesome.
Showwww usssss :v:
Congratulations on winning the Polycount contest, Alia. Finally, we've got some good-looking Spy unlocks. I'd actually be curious to see how the Fez looks on the female Spy.
Congrats on the Polycount, as others did say, finally a new knife :P

I'll try again this weekend, now that I'm not in such a rush, but I'm way behind on the portfolio environmental piece I'm working on as a result of this contest and need to start focusing on that. D: It's really annoying though, everything looks as if it should be working, as far as I can tell.
I picked up a pair of sunglasses that I think would make a good reference for her sunglasses at the mall today. They're not as round as my placeholder glasses, with a varied shape that I think allows them to be bigger and obscure more of the face without looking too circular. Here are reference photos. I want to get the glasses finalized today so I can begin texturing, and it would be nice to hear some thoughts on the style. Maybe a bit too big.
Maybe a bit too big.
Scalable?
Perhaps glasses should be big when you're disguised v:v:v
signed up for an account just to say - can't wait for a release of this model, it looks great the reference glasses look perfect for the look imo, that combined with the head covering scarf makes for the perfect female counterpart to the TF2 Spy and I know you haven't shown your texture work yet but I'm hoping there are pinstripes :D
Coincidence? I think not!
This has nothing to do with anything. Just stop posting or go back to fast threads. [editline]09:27PM[/editline] Alia, do you plan on implementing NeoDement's Gentle Manne's Fancy Dress? I think having a paper mask over glasses would be a little too silly.
I was noting the similarities between the Spy's profile and John Lennon's. Chill out. [editline]01:46AM[/editline] Besides the lower jaw being a little receded, it's a nice match. Edit: Furthur proof of their similarities. I'm done with my conspiracy theories now.
