Based somewhat loosely on the Russian PTRS-41 anti-tank rifle from WWII, this is a remake of my first ever TF2 model, now with 50% less being crappy.
Modelled by myself, with model refinements, rigging, LODs and Backpack images done by Professor Flubbman, and an astounding texture from SedimentarySocks.
The renders in this workshop piece are a combined effort between myself, Sync. and King of Hill.

Its a bit noisy looking in that there are a lot of bulky unnecessary parts to the rifle.

Unnecessary?
You've clearly never handled an anti-tank rifle before, they need as many parts as possible so that they can break more easily and be a pain in the ass to clean on the field. It's a rule.
Yeesh, to think you didn't know that.
Well, more weight does mean less recoil... :P
That said, I don't know what you could possibly remove even if you wanted to. You can't carry the damn thing without the handle, and you can't brace it without the bipod, you can't keep your shots on target without the muzzle brake, you can't aim properly without the front sight, you can't chamber new rounds without the bolt, and you damn well want a magazine so you don't have to reload after every shot.
There's not much else to remove beyond those, other than basic things like the scope, barrel, stock, and trigger!

Textures seem to be missing on the mods
To the few that got taunts in, did you need to make the icons yourself or did Valve do it for you?
Because if its the former I'd be happy to help anyone that needs a taunt icon
I've been doing a texture project for a vest, which you'll probably hear about later, and I realized something.
Booker DeWitt's vest might fit well on scout. Heck, DeWitt even has similar hand bandages.

Really? Any mod in particular? All the files are in there like they should be and I tested each pathway before I submitted. But there might have been an upload problem.

That's bizarre, they all have texture files included, hell, the AWPer Hand is the first one I made. I'll look into it, though.

Might just be me and V1, but when i checked the vmf, the file path was different from the actual one. The vmf said "models\weapons\c_items\c_csgo_awp\c_csgo_awp".
The actual path was "models\weapons\c_csgo_awp\c_csgo_awp".
However, I tried changing it, both by moving the folder into c_items and by editing the file path on the vmf; neither one worked. ALTHOUGH it could just be me messing up.

V1 includes a custom reload sound that replaces all the sniper rifle reload noises. V2 is just the same mod but without that reload sound.
I think the model is trying to track back to the original pathway it was compiled with, so I'll try replacing one of them with that and see if it fixes the issue. But I'm out right now so it won't be for a few hours at least.

I don't see how it's self-defeating? The model is done, it's compiled, skinned, promo'd, video'd and working.
The "it's too noisy" feedback would have been useful... back when I was making the actual model part. But right now? All it does is tell me that InfectedPotato thinks my model looks too noisy. Which... isn't really helpful now? At most it's something to consider for a future model. But that feedback seems to have been given with the intent to make me change the model, and at this stage in development... that's... just not happening.
