That looks like a tiny ammo drum for such a heavy-looking gun. Maybe it would look better if it was larger?

Isn't that ammo drum and grip literally from the BFB
I know you like working off existing shit because it helps but you should really make sure it's 100% original if you're at detail touch-ups. Honestly.

From what I've seen medic gets his red from a tinted ao, and vtf compression doesn't help
Try adding a very low opacity red layer and make your ao layer have a red tint like on default med

The problem with that is that the drum would clip through the scouts hand, the BFB had that problem as well, i could move the drum forward, but then i would have to modify the gun and it wouldn't look as good imo.

used marmoset with these promos, and followed the advice hawf gave on last emp to do tf2 style shading
it works RLLY well if u know a lil bit bout marmoset, its a very powerful program, and it runs super nicely

heres a material file for how i did the homewrecker
you kinda have to set it up as a dota material, except changing the settings for diffusion to skin, and setting subdermis scatter and normal smoothing to 0
only manual thing you have to do is apply the default paint onto the texture itself, and making a new texture and put the spec map on the R channel in order for marmoset to read, since its working with your material as if it were from dota 2
importing your vmt also helps with things like rimlight settings so i recommend that no matter what game the vmt is for, just edit from the settings marmoset was able to read

I used marmoset for thumbs and gif, sfm for main shot
its not "superior" to sfm, i just like it better imo, just a bit of a pain to make main shots since you have to do everything in the modelling program nd convert textures etc

I like the way zakkin modified the design, but it's not going to work out. The problem is that the drum port and drum would either clip with the hand or the barrel, and the way i did the barrel and structure around it would mean that i would have to litterally chop it down the middle, and sow it back together to avoid the clipping. Not saying i couldn't do it, it's just that the set is almost ready to release and its just a little late. Maybe i'll mess around with it and make a mod for it after the set's release, cause while i like the design, it just doesn't fit with the set's theme.
I see the problem that zakkin mentioned with the front grip, i moved that back.
