normaly you wear your uniform under the coat, but seems like TF2 has it own way in handling this.

Well this class wouldn't ever show up in any actual gameplay, its just meant for sfm or whatever, so him being confusable for soldier isn't a direct issue, but i see what you mean. However he is intentionally similar to soldier, for the sake of staying within the same "Army" look. I might try a different colorscheme
as for his posture my idea was for him to be an old veteran, i did try a few more handsome, well built and upright designs but it just looks too generic for me, besides, as this guy wouldn't be in any direct combat situations, and only shout commands into a microphone and whatever, there's no need for him to be more fit

Maybe you could keep the commander's current design as a sort of battle planner & have the female variant be named something along the lines of strategist?

I don't think there's any need to give her a different title or role. She could simply be like a femclass: a purely-aesthetic female option for something that by default is male.

What I was thinking is the female variant would in theory get the information from the front lines & then relay that to the male variant who would then tell the troops/mercs where to go & could possibly have one of those awesome war-board thingys with the little model troops/mercs

My logic behind it was similar to what blaholtzen mentioned - the individuals in the lore who aren't actually fighting (but rather taking care of logistics) are currently female, and the commander based on his description was a perfect fit for it. I also figured it would be the most effective way to separate the commander from the soldier in terms of appearance while allowing both to keep the same approximate "war uniform" theme.
Another potential suggestion could be to "colonel mustardize him" - make him appear much older than soldier, and put his palette on the opposite side of the color wheel. The purple palette of the administrator and miss pauling is between red and blue, and yellow is opposite of that.
Isn't YLW one of the TFC teams though?
Blu + red is obviously purple, hence Miss Pauling and the Administrator
Blu + red + green + yellow would just be brown, so either each team has their own commander or they follow a super neutral brown/grey/dark-grey-off-black colour scheme
Hey Guys I've recently been experiencing some issues with the importer.
Ive noticed that paint options won't display in the preview section of the importer (Not the biggest of deals as the paint still works in the TFMV so it's exporting stuff fin.e)
The bigger issue is that I found the some of my old files I want to update are getting the diffuse .vtf file corrupted... I recently found out that I could be doing something better with all my normals so I've been updating the normals on all my submissions... well when I do that some of my cosmetics textures go all ...gross.

So here's the question: Any of you guys experiencing any issues with the importer and who do I contact in Valve to tell them of this issue?
Btw I should say this: the items look perfect in the importer preview. They just look like the image I have shown after I apply my changes and then load the models in TFMV.

As I understand it there is one guy everyone contacts at Valve and he makes sure the message winds up where they need to be. I just don't know for sure who that guy is and how to contact him.
