Where's ya pain train now tough guy?
Looks cool, if kinda blurry, but I think it'd look better without the giant train spike.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/CHgdqQt.jpg[/t] Thats a skull fracture for ya!

Very WIP thing I made last night when I got bored.
Where's ya pain train now tough guy?
Fix your smoothing. You really have to learn how to properly apply hard edges. That huge nail on top looks very weird and it makes no sense from a logical point of view. Nobody would be able to hammer it through the bat without splitting the wood into several pieces. Take a closer look at the pain train where this is done very well if you'd like to keep it. But I'd suggest to remove it.
Unfortunately the textures for that one are broken in sfm, I haven't found a fix for it on the workshop or elsewhere yet.
How so? I mean the promo was done in SFM so I wasn't aware there was a problem.

Up votes are appreciated. Thanks to Gadget for making this submission possible and the whole emporium for all the advice and support. We should have a mod release soon.
Very WIP thing I made last night when I got bored.
Please get bored more often, that thing looks great.
Where's ya pain train now tough guy?
Replace the Rail spike with A laser sight and you're ready for the workshop
Here's the mod. Tell me if anything doesn't work.
Replace the Rail spike with A laser sight and you're ready for the workshop
Why are you acting like this?
Why are you acting like this?
It's a light-humored joke, my friend. Sarcastic, yes, but it got a smile out of me.
Replace the Rail spike with A laser sight and you're ready for the workshop
Now usually this would seem kinda rude, but the joke does have a point to back it up, regardless of the intent. I'm pretty sure people suggested/agreed on smaller, or thinner nails, not a giant, thick nail straight onto it. More is less; and in this case, adding more nails/making them wider is less detail than it is just noisy/unnecessary. Tacking things on last minute isn't much of a good idea, especially if they don't address issues other people saw with it. Keep working on this though, it has the potential to be a decent weapon.

And while i don't think i've ever heard something productive/ something that isn't sarcastic come out of his mouth, it actually was pretty funny Metaru, ill make ya a special version of it just for you with a laser sight bolted onto it. and the cracks are gonna be way reduced, i kinda went overboard with em
Cracks dont really work like that on wood, you would have thin splits going down the grain with the occasional joint. [T]http://cdn.content.compendiumblog.com/uploads/user/38b3e375-1915-4596-a63d-12e14513c1b7/78e6faa5-9a49-4f39-9646-2cfca67dc5fd/Image/a1f380806f7184823e25f2cbae4ae0ed.jpg[/T]
By the way guys, sorry for panicking over the button rigging, but my brain was going all over the place trying to figure it out and I was pretty desperate

Consistency is best, make all the nails either small or that larger variant. Looks busy and jumbled as is now.
How so? I mean the promo was done in SFM so I wasn't aware there was a problem.
Not sure why, but a while back it would always come out black and textureless when I tried to load it up in sfm. I did what I could to fix it but it only worked for the hair. The actual bandanna is still black. In all seriousness I probably just messed up the files and now it's stuck looking like this: "Snake! What's wrong?" "It's my bandanna, it's a mess..." "Darn. Guess it's good that it isn't your only memento your former mentor who you had to kill so she could complete her mission and prove that she was a true patriot by taking the fall for her country and going down in history as a traitor, right Snake?" "Ugh..."

"Ugh..."
tons of newer tf2 items are broken in SFM because of how textures/alphas work. you have to manually fix the materials.
It's the paint method, color over base, alot of items have that and is known to show the paintable areas in a black tint in SFM.
tons of newer tf2 items are broken in SFM because of how textures/alphas work. you have to manually fix the materials.
I know, I tried to fix them a while back when I knew less about what I was doing. I might get around to it again though. It's a really nice hat.
Does anyone think that I'm improving at making items. I'd appreciate some feedback.
Does anyone think that I'm improving at making items. I'd appreciate some feedback.
Honestly dude, if you just keep at it you'll see any improvements you make. Its not up to us to decide whether or not you've made progress at improving, that's kinda up to you.
Will there be a shirt misc to accompany these items?
ye, it just wasn't ready enough at the time for me to show
Not sure why, but a while back it would always come out black and textureless when I tried to load it up in sfm.
tons of newer tf2 items are broken in SFM because of how textures/alphas work. you have to manually fix the materials.
Can I ask how exactly one would go about doing so? Because I've got quite a few black items that could use fixing.
Why are you acting like this?
Because aparently people will only react to feedback when its given in a way it sounds agresive and/or rude, even when its not. I along the rest of the people gave enough feedback on the item, and it went all unnoticed or barely affected the development of the item. by now, the previous weapons s3píro would follow the same process and end up with a laser sight and/or uploaded to the workshop way before they should. wich only makes one wonder if he really takes it into consideration, because so far he seems to be here for showcase and doesnt really feel like taking into account what has been sigested to improve the desing. Consider how your own projects have improved over time given you've analized what has been suggested and you'll realise that by now the bat should be something completely different and more developed than it is now.
There, made new sounds for that thing, got new projectiles working in game, and made LOD's. And also did a kill icon(it's not final, still working on it), however, i wasn't able to get in the game, because for some reason. So i had to use VTFedit, which didn't saved my alpha layer for some reason. But here it is either way. -snip of the video, gonna fix dat stuff- And, i got another question, for some reason, my model appears invisible in SFM, how do i fix that? :v:
