Whats your point? still looks fucking amazing :P
It ruins team/class recognition?
Soldiers coat is his most prominent team color.
Come on now, that changes almost half of Soldier's colours.
red armor looked bad
red armor looked bad
Maybe you can try a light metallic red with scratched and wear that shows silver through or something like that?
red armor looked bad
Maybe the armor could be colored like Waterlogged Lab Coat, plain steel on Red, blued metal on Blu?
red armor looked bad
What about a team colour like the Fists of Steel?
Worked on some suggestions. Removed the edge wear, redid the textures and added details to the model.

changing his torso alittle bit is fine, i believe hes refering to how, not only have you changed the chest, but also his pants and boots to completely different colors as well. anything below the belt line should stay the stock colors. I would also suggest making the belts black instead of brown, for consistency with his pockets as the clashing colors look really weird.
This is a basic concept, but what about a Golok for a sniper melee?
I worry it's a little too similar to the kukri to begin with, but you never know.

I have no idea how to model items, so if anyone wants to take this idea go for it.
I found out that there's a certain limit on how many vpks you can have in the custom folder before the game breaks.
How many? I have 60 at the moment and my game works perfectly fine.
I think it'd have enough if the belt going across his chest was team-colored.
Sorry, used the wrong picture

I still think that pump looks really out-of-place.
red armor looked bad
Well if red armour looks bad, maybe covering the whole of his torso just doesn't work. It's okay to look at an idea and realise it doesn't work in execution.
If you want my suggestions:
- Make the armour Fists of Steel coloured like 165your4 suggested.
- Change the belts to black, so they match his pouches
- Make the trousers closer in colour to the Soldier's default ones, they draw too much attention to his lower body right now.
Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with restoring the old scattergun texture and lighting before the LaW update. I got it working for the most part but I pass under or look up into bright lights the texture reverts back to the default texture. Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?
welp
you could even go the mile and make the flaps into a chain or scalemail skirt, and put more armor on his legs.

This might take a while.

I love it, it's very creative! I dunno if you're accepting any critques on the model either, but the leather strap bothers me. It doesn't go around the whole of the Medic's arm so whenever he swings it, it looks like momentum would cause the weapon swing upward from the grip and jab the Medic with the prongs.
Or maybe I'm just being dumb. :v:

Rigging issues prevented having the strap go all the way around his glove. It would clip very badly during animations. The brace wouldn't even be visible in first person anyway. :v:

That's unfortunate. Maybe you could have some kind of metal strip run from the bottom of the metal section holding the battery in place up slong the back of the Medic's hand?

I dunno why people are so negative about this. I say if the pants are removed this could be a great item. Conquistador is one of my favorite soldier hats, and if this got added then more people would probably wear it

I think people have a point complaining about it. It didn't bother me at first, but I guess it's true that the colors are way off from the soldiers color palette.
The fact that the armor is gray doesn't bother me as much, though.
Here is a suggestion:
Make the color distribution similar to the soldier, and make sure that the focus stays around the torso-face area. This way, it will be more recognizable from the distance. I think the armor needs to be brighter to be more visible. I also made the leather strap darker so that it contrast more. In general high contrast near the face area are good! It draws the attention to that area further.

Here is another attempt with a colored armor:
I don't like this one as much, but I think it could be done. My gut feeling tells me that the suggestions I mentioned above should be enough. It's worth a try, I think before going to this more aggressive approach.

Btw, I would be totally up to doing this if it's not claimed yet. Gotta finish another set first, though :)

YAY!
At least a conquistador outfit is going to get done this time. Although I do wish that conquistador outfit collab I did with Kibble a year ago came to fruition.
Hey I'm having an issue with making my Engie helmet as a replacement mod. Everything works fine while he's alive, but when he dies the hat just disappears instead of popping off his head like other hats. Any ideas?

From what I've been able to tell, all mod hats do that. With me, i notice the just clip out of the map, i think it's because of how the physics work with hats or something.
But I don't think it's something you really need to worry about, I think.
Hope that helps!

that strap on the chest really bothers me though. i know its suposedly there to keep the bandolier, but it just feels odd to put a strap on top of a piece of armor place like that. in a normal setting that strap wouldn't be attached to anything and thus i would just move all over the place.

Hm, I hope so. I just don't want to release it then get a bunch of "this sukz ur hat isnt thar wen i die lel 0 stars"... ok maybe not that degenerate, but you get the idea :P
I noticed that the hat just stays on his head after death when replacing the Tin-1000, which is what it's supposed to do. The fact that it works in one situation but not the other is what got me worried.
