Hey guys! I'm finishing up this set, and I've thought of calling it "What's the Matador?" which is the name of an old play from the Three Stooges. But I would love some suggestions for the names of the individual items

matador stab involves being in line of sight of an enemy, strafing in one direction and then immediately the opposite to catch your opponent turning in the first direction. you just displayed a corner stab which involves being out of sight of an enemy and catching them while they turn a corner.

(Hopefully) Fixed all the smoothing errors, and am now working on the textures.
I currently do not like the liberty launcher color pallete, so i have a few choices that i would like you guys to vote on.
Original:
Silver for barrel and slide, dark gray for metal on handle, and wood the same color as it is now.
Dark:
Dark gray for slide, handle, and silver for barrel, wood the same.
Current setup:
dark green for slide and handle, current wood color, and dark gray for barrel.
Vote winner for original, informative for dark, and agree for current setup.

Thank you. I realized that by rushing i dont really do my best work and from now on will work on anything until it is worthy. I wanna become as great as all you workshop people that have stuff in game.

I updated the textures and fixed more than 1 smoothing error. I also added the phongwarp, and it looks great!
Sooo uhh awkward, my revolver wont work with stock animations without either A) moving the cylinder down and squashing everything with it, making it look odd. B) no reloading bullets a la Ambassador or C) floating bullets a la Enforcer.
Its all the speed loaders fault.
Guess ill do a poll
Agree : No bullets
Disagree : Floating bullets (not centered or attached to speed loader)
Dumb : Deform model, ruining proportions
Late : Give up and do something else (ill use the model for another thing so its not like wasted time or anything)

Attach one of these to the bullets:

A moon clip. It holds the bullets, and the clip sits right on the revolver turret.

Just make a little indent for it and there you go, no speedloader required and it STILL works.
And with them being invented circa 1908, they're in TF2's timeline.

You really are improving! What I meant about making the gun look like it would function as a hand gun is the part where all the mechanisms are in. You only have the slide, barrel, and the grip.

I made the trigger gaurd hollow, and also the pistols in game don't slide back either, so i dont think that that's something we have to worry about.

the problem is that the weapon you're making lacks some key elements from the handgun you're using as a reference. even if it doesnt have animations for that feature, you should aim towards making it look as functional as necesary, otherwise it'd end looking like some ugly bootleg toy.

Ahh, the memories of nagging my guardians to get me a cheap, plastic, bootlegged toy pistol from the dollar store.
My most favorite one was one that looked like a Desert Eagle. Had the ejection port set up where you would put a one red ring of 7 blast caps for the gun as if it was actually firing.

I stopped using that as a concept when you guys told me to remove the stock pistol slide and make major changes than what was on valve's rejected concept art. Ignore that comment that you quoted about the animations, that was not what i meant and was dumb. Point is, i fixed it.
Probably my last post for tonight, worked on it a little more, made new textures, and removed the silencer thingy. Vote agree if it looks good.
