Stupid question, but does anyone know how to add holes and bullets to the cylinder of a revolver. I use Blender BTW
Boolean
Boolean can be super finicky at times though. The best way to do bullets in a revolver is like this: [t]http://puu.sh/fe4zj/d3d73dabdb.png[/t] And then manually fill the faces in to get your cylinder.
Boolean has improved quite a bit in blender tho, so id say it's still viable, I use t plenty of times on weps
Working on this. A grenade launcher thing because I can.~ Just base colors pretty much. Argh, I attempted to make team colors work. This is the result: RED team [t]http://puu.sh/feBk9.jpg[/t] BLU team [t]http://puu.sh/feBbX.jpg[/t] I get this error message in HLMV: [t]http://puu.sh/feBeV.png[/t] What causes this sort of problem?

Is anybody else having importer issues? When i go to preview it flashes the preview screen and closes out. Then it just stops responding to the preview button.
I'm working on this with Metabolic and Serious_Greg and we were sort of on the fence with the team coloring on the scout's pants. I think I prefer the team colored version because it injects a bit of team color you usually don't see on the scout's lower half. It also gives the sense that it's a one piece suit which was the original idea. But I also think the non-team colored version is cool. Please let me know what you think! [T]http://i.imgur.com/FOveXx7.jpg[/T]
two shades of camo really looks bad imo, that's like wearing a checker shirt with checker pants that don't match, really dont see what the appeal in the informative one is, the undershirt looks really off becasue of that green being there. i'd say either go for full camo jumpsuit, or do informative without the camo on the shirt (with more contrast on the pants) and with handwrap colored undershirt or somethign. however i do think anything involving this and green pants at all will look a lot worse than a full jumpsuit [editline]30th January 2015[/editline]
Try to use the TF2 colour palette: [t]http://i.imgur.com/CV5cBNv.png[/t]
I'd say that's step 2-5 at least, first he really ought to look closer into tf2's style and theme then try to learn replicating it, then he can start to worry about designs. and then colors that set of colors is also not all that useful for concepts, i'd instead suggest you just stick to sampled colors off the base shot, that way you get the correct/matching colors from after it's gone through the lighting engine, those swatches are really only useful for texturers. Eitherway a properly colored concept is nice, but not really needed, in the end it's really only the texturer needs to handle colors well

I like everything, including the hair. But can't help but think he should get a haircut and wear hat :v: What's the progress on those weapons?
[t]http://puu.sh/ff21f/6265c6d12b.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/ff26B/3e98987f8e.png[/t] Base colors for an adventurer engi set. I have a wrench and pistol to go with it but they aren't unwrapped yet and i'll be debating whether i include them or not anyways the watch thing is a compass, and i might mess with the bag to make it less simple but yeah just hopefully i can rig it well

If it's done well it could be nice, though.
V nice, maybe change undershirt color to not blend so much with pants?
that's the point.. it's meant to be a single colored uniform underneath the jacket. the shading does enough to set them apart imo, and if that's not enough they will be moving independently ingame
Its very nice, but i would suggest leaving the belt uncovered, or making straps/slings for the pockets, because them just magically floating there is really weird.
the bomber jacket looking good takes priority over th pouches imo, you barely even think about them atm, tried adding straps but that jsut looked bad, i'd rather just have subtle mysteriously floating ppouches than belts and straps that ruin the look of the jacket
I like everything, including the hair.
I'm not really digging the hair. Doesn't feel like something soldier would do imo.
I would have to disagree, it reminds me of Doom Guy's hair style on the hud, which makes it all the better.
Boolean
i've never got blender's boolean to ever work. I just do it manually by adding circles and using alt R, setting it to 360, dupe and 6

It's the nontraditional Soldier set :v:
