ahh! I see that now. Maybe it would be more readable if the bomber jacket was slightly open and you could see the brown uniform underneath? That way I think you would make the connection between the upper and lower part better.
Here is a very quick sketch, maybe the jacket could be slightly more open and a bit looser then what I have sketched.

idk, dont really like it, clutters up the middle there and if i open it up the default belt and bandolider will still have to be under there considering hwo its rigged and how bulky it'd be otherwise
either way you wont see the chest that much anyway in normal play. I also dont really see how you would get confused over what the brown collar and brown coat tails were doing there, it makes perfect sense to me that theres a jacket under the bomber, especially considering he wears and identical red one by deafult. Another thing is it drags a lot more attention to the brown jacket which is the oposite of what i want to do, the bomber is the primary item, the jacket underneath is mostly there cause it needs to be, so keeping that simple and uninteresting is better
also the buttons are horrid and ultra cluttery whateven
in short, too much work for a relatively small, and in my opinion overexplanitory, detail

I guess I'm the only one who didn't understand what was going on with the brown jacket right away. My mind has the red jacket hardwired, so I thought my suggestion was making that easier (for my brain) to understand. Fair enough, it is bringing more attention to the brown jacket, but that's mostly due to the golden buttons I added (since WWII uniforms had those), a more discreet color would remedy that while still providing that connection between both brown areas. I think the red jacket stands out either way, mainly due to the fact that there is a brown jacket serving as the backdrop and it provides a great contrast.
Anyway, if it's a non-issue forget I ever mentioned it. I was just trying to help, I love the concept either way.

I really like the new receiver, its something i haven't seen done yet. It could use some more bolts/screws on it though.
As for the rest of it, I realize the whole point of this is that its an improvised weapon and all, but honestly the logs for the pump and stock aren't really helping the design. If it was more of an old worn out/beat up actual pump and stock maybe, but the fact they are just logs is really off-putting.
I would suggest something like an old beat up stock with visible wear on the grip from years of use, and the butt of the stock is beat up and splitting at the end.

The problem was that I renamed the material to the style that imported game files have (models/weapons/c_items/c_ambassador_opt.bmp)
And I did not change it back to "c_minirevolver" after doing the change that Gadget suggested.
