Finished the TFC flamethrower model and done some crappy basecolours vaguely based on the original TFC flamethrower colours until I can figure out a good colourscheme for it:
id say it could use some pyro logos, and atm the norm on the camo bits looks kinda blurry and rubbery bc of the phong but overall everything is really solid atm
Yesh! YESH!
Just a fair warning, memes will usually get you banned.

After looking at a bit more, I realized he's only holding the flamethrower with one hand and holds the tubing with the other. With his trigger hand holding the tubing, how does in turn the flames off and on? Perhaps you could have solid pole up to his trigger hand, where you can add a trigger, then switch to tubing. Also, only holding it with one hand, the way he does, seems like it would make it quite hard to aim with it. However, that's a more minor concern, because you could just write it off as being light.

Maybe make the hose dingle dangle like this? [t]http://i.gyazo.com/13ef0d5450ba9b159ee1402636356e35.png[/t] Are there any flamethrowers actually like this? I feel like you're going out of your way to disregard practicality to be more unique (which isn't a bad thing, but having just a nozzle with a holding stick doesn't feel right). Also no idea how you're gonna get around the whole trigger thing. Looks great though

I find it just feels off.

Also everything in GoldSrc looks really heavy.
GoldSrc is heavy.
Does anybody have some knowledge on crowbar compiling? I need to compile a prop to SFM (For a taunt), but literally no matter what i do crowbar manages to decide it could care less of my intent and manages to have the item float far from the root and refuses to acknowledge the existing vmt.
can you show us your .qc also if you want to see if there's any issues with recognizing materials' names, type in the "Direct entry of options..." the following "-dumpmaterials" and then compile again. you will see the materials in the compile log. post what it says here
Here is a collab Scout set concept that OverPovered and I made: The parts of the set will be: Hair+Five O' Clock Shadow+Headphones Arms+Shoes Sweatshirt/Hoodie Feedback is appreciated and accepted.
For the hair/headphones, I'd say get rid of the five o clock shadow, or at the very least make it almost invisible. For the arms/shoes, The arms will look incredibly fucked up no matter what, I'd say just try and work over the default hand wrappings by maybe giving Scout skateboard/rocker gloves or something like that instead of just making them bare, as that type of appearance seems to be what you're working towards (grungy teen from the late 90's). Concerning the shoes, they need more uniqueness and personality as right now they just look like the Buck Turner All-Stars painted gray. Maybe give the item shin-high socks, and/or change the shoe type. For the hoodie, it looks way too small. It should end lower on Scout's torso, and if the sleeves are rolled up they should end a little past his elbows.
I like the shirt and hair, everything else is meh.
I see so they should make it less meh then. Great advice.

DEM SHOES. Hoodie's fine as it is, maybe lengthen the sleeves a bit, five o'clock shadow seems to be able to work too. Great concept overall.
I see so they should make it less meh then. Great advice.
Or not make them altogether. The beard in particular. I'd also prefer the hair without the headphones. [editline]10th February 2015[/editline] Hair/(optional)Headphones Shoes/(optional)Arms Sweatshirt/Hoodie That's my suggestion for you, Pastel.

Would break too many items as well. Best to just drop that part I think. I'd love to see you try it but you're in for a rough time. If it could be done well without bodygroups I think someone would have done it by now.
Spark did some for his hween grandpa scout, but for a set like this there's no reason to make it like that, since then spooky sleeves/divulgers would probs clip And it's a pain to make work with lod2
dem shoes doe. DEM SHOES.
That's not very constructive
The item looks great, but there's the problem of barely any team recognition when the Heavy faces backwards.

how about an image showing the back of the heavy wearing this cosmetic for both teams? Hey Everyone, Was wondering if someone could give me so help as to how overpowered did his gold details on his pistol a while back. I'm assuming that it was a normal map or something like that, but if someone could show me how to do it i would greatly appreciate it. I could just draw the gold onto the texture, but overpowered was able to use the austrailum env map effect on his gold trim and i would like to be able to do something like that.
