also stylization, this aint real life, in tf2 things generally taper in the opposite direction
and besides real ww2 rifles look uuugly, if i went off that primarily i'd have the most boring silhouette in the world

If anybody knows a bit about the taunt importer, I'd appreciate some help on exporting from SFM. I intend for it to be a looping taunt.
(I also need to find someone to make a custom chair/book, since i assume valve doesn't want me using sfmbeta props..)

Keep in mind that the taunt importer doesn't have support for looping taunts at all, and the book/chair would have to be a single model. They also set a pretty strict tri limit, so it'd be tricky to make them look decent.
Exporting from SFM is simple enough, just select the Heavy's animation set, right click, and go to "export taunt animation". That'll export a dmx, which is what the taunt importer accepts.
The trouble is that the taunt importer is barely functional. The preview always came up as a reference pose for me, and apparently others have had the same issue. I don't know if this is because of some issue exporting, but considering how every single taunt on the workshop shows up as not certified compatible, (even the Boston Breakdance, that got leaked into the game, which pretty much confirms it got in) I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that the importer is at fault.

Also, that demo rifle ought to be a GL rather than a sticky launcher, imo. If the idea is that you would launch a bomb, then shoot it with a low-damage hitscan to det, then it seems much more like a direct damage, 1v1 weapon. For the average player, that's a GL playstyle, not a sticky launcher playstyle. Granted, the iron bomber and quickiebombs have blurred the line between the two, so it's not a hugely important distinction, but it reminds me much more of how the loose cannon works than anything in demo's secondary slot.

The barrel and gold part of the revolver contrast a lot with the light brown handle.
Experiment some other colors on the handle, black, white, or even that barrel's color.
Looking good so far except for the thing I mentioned.

I'll mess around with it. I've been unsure how to texture the handle. I said it earlier, but texturing wood seems like it's going to be difficult.

The people here are literally where a vast majority of the cosmetics come from. TF2 is basically on life support thanks to Valve trying to keep it alive and these guys making the content updates.
