Defeats the purpose of the BB and DH having unique sounds. I was planning on slightly editing the sound but when I ran out of time I just half assed it. Eventually I'm planning on replacing every sound that's not a weapon or vo sound. but that time is not now.
That being said, for some reason I can't find the explosion sound that the Grenade Launcher and the Stickybomb Launcher use.
Edit: I've gone in and edited both the BB, DH, and Grenade Launcher+ explosion sounds. I'm planning on having a lot more done with a new release planned by Friday if anyone cares.

Parts of this skin look pretty good. Though I think the creator didn't know those belts on Level 2/3 Sentry and dispenser were bullets. The hazard stripes on the bullet belts look really bad tbh
In other news, I'm trying to replace the shotgun's sound effects. Replacing the firing sound of the reserve shooter worked fine, but cocking the shotgun is silent (replaced shotgun_cock_back and shotgun_cock_forward). Anyone know if I got the wrong one?

There's a separate .vpk for the skin if you don't want the hazard stripes on the bullet belts.
As for the shotgun, how are you setting the sounds up? Are they .wav files?

I can only guess from here.
The shotgun is being pumped REALLY fast. If the pumping sounds you're using are the ones from HL1/TFC, the sounds have a slight delay before the pumping sound is actually heard. You'll either have to speed up or clip out the pumping sound of the HL1/TFC shotgun sounds to accomodate for TF2's fast shotgun pump animations.

Honestly the gems could have varied proportions because it doesn't looks very pleasing to look at from afar.

I've been working on my preview tool for 3dsmax today and I'm taking it to the next step.
I've created a new TF2 material for 3dsmax that has all the settings that the TF2 importer has. The idea here is not to have a shader in 3dsmax that sort of mimics what the engine is doing, the idea is to have a realtime preview in HLMV.
(Even if you were able to replicate the TF2 shader in 3dsmax perfectly (like some people have), you would still not be able to match the results. Source engine's tangent basis calculations are different from 3dsmax, so normal maps for example wouldn't look like they do in the engine)
So not only can you preview your mesh in HLMV with a single click, you can now edit the materials in real time too! More to come!

Protip: Load a game of tf2 and host a local server. Enable cheats, and the enable snd_show 1. This will show you every sound playing in the game currently (with filepath!). You can do "stopsound" to stop all ambient sounds from playing.
This is extremely helpful for sound modding.
