Out of curiosity, what skin are you trying to get to work (a download link to the skin namely)?
http://tf2.gamebanana.com/skins/110562
You have to manually change the settings back. Options-graphics-advanced options.
Problem solved! I'm glad that the issue was only something that stupidly simple.
Problem solved! I'm glad that the issue was only something that stupidly simple.
It's kind of annoying, especially if you have an auto-exec and you don't know the console commands for settings.
http://tf2.gamebanana.com/skins/110562
Exactly This is a general problem with all the available backburner skins though But I'm making some slight progresses ... ... See?

I'll try playing around with the QCs a bit to see if I can get it to work with the current setup.
I don't know That invisible weapon with a snake head definitely has its appeal
How did you even get it like that?
How did you even get it like that?
I was attempting to hijack that gamebanana skin once again and I followed Vic Boss' advice
Started working on a pair of soundproof headphones (the type used at military shooting ranges. It's going to be all class BTW [T]http://puu.sh/giqgI/2634085669.png[/T] Not too sure if I should continue working on them or not
Okay, I give up on the backburner. Not even completely rewriting the .qc seems to fix it. Valve must've used some sort of magic to make it work- I can't seem to get the mod's model to replace it no matter what I do.

Is this what Mr. EliaMoroes is talking about?: [thumb]http://oi60.tinypic.com/nx24n5.jpg[/thumb] The flamethrower is the same.
Today is a sad day...
how does this even happen are your ingame textures settings at max? [editline]1st March 2015[/editline]
So, ikes hasn't been on in a while, and I thought I'd ask this myself. Rate if the item ought to be smaller. Rate if the box art on the sides needs to be changed, and if so feel free to suggest what it should be. Rate if you think people are crazy and everything so far has been perfect. What does a disagree mean?
Im gonna scale it down til it stops making any sense mechanically also im working on an alternate box art, i said this pages ago.
I have an idea, why not just cut off the bottom part below the controls bar and give it a look like it was ripped off the metal? That way you can make it look big enough that it actually makes sense but not have it be bigger than the Pyro, plus you can give it a bit more character with cords and such hanging from the bottom. Like so [t]http://i.imgur.com/BRU2nU9.png[/t] And why not explain why you shouldn't do it? I don't see any downsides to it, it'd have a more intriguing silhouette/appearance, it'd get rid of blank space at the bottom of the cabinet, and would look coooler.
the problem persists though if you go that way. at this point it feels more like vlek's "strap a random prop to pyro's back" kind of item.
the problem persists though if you go that way. at this point it feels more like vlek's "strap a random prop to pyro's back" kind of item.
It's not trying to solve a problem other than "make it look a bit more interesting". Though yes it does seem that way if you think about it.
It's not trying to solve a problem other than "make it look a bit more interesting". Though yes it does seem that way if you think about it.
that makes it less interesting and more "why?"
that makes it less interesting and more "why?"
Ah yes. It wasn't already "why?" when it was just an arcade cabinet attached to the back of the Pyro. It was "why?" if it was pulled off instead of fully constructed. I like the idea of the item, liked it back when the one I posted was originally added to the workshop in 2012, but saying "why?" to a potential modification that just removes part of the item doesn't really make sense when it's an arcade cabinet on the Pyro's back in the first place.

It doesn't fix any issues that have been pointed out. The size issue is more that it goes above his head, not that it hides his butt. Just make it smaller. Being accurate to the source material doesn't equal good design. Also make a red colored variation.
On the backburner issue, It still works on my end.
