So what fancy tools are folks using for 3DS Max smd imports and exports these days?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/LF2i7Sr.png[/t] Hello. I update textures at my axe. What do you say now?

Thanks to Vincentor for helping me with that qc.
7 months in the making, well worth it!
Civil-War Vet turned Bounty Hunter:
There's already a Civil War kepi ingame, maybe a Hardee hat instead? Or possibly a forage cap, which has a similar but still distinct appearance compared to the kepi
Can we just stop the false pretense bullshit of giving " a friendly heads up I'm doing ..." it never comes across friendly and just leads to nothing. We've come to a point where people have similar ideas and pretty much everyone is nice enough to not steal shit, and otherwise it'll come out anyways
it's actually the perfect way to go into cross-promotion as a workshop collection 2 different scout sets, same basic theme The Duel at Dawn This town ain't big enough for the two of us.
Heads up, pardner.
Reminds me of a certain scout model that will never be released. Seriously though, I want it plz.
Does any mapmaker here know if it would be easy to do a similar thing for TF2 maps? I'd love a custom server that would only have a rotation of mirrored official maps.
I'm 100% sure there are several mirrored TF2 maps out there, played and ran a couple of those maps when I used to be a community admin. There's also an upside down 2Fort that will seriously fuck you up.
There's also an upside down 2Fort that will seriously fuck you up.
link right now
Bandito Pyro:
There's already a hat like that in the game. I'd recommend a black cowboy hat instead. Also, maybe give the jacket a different colour palette as right now it just looks like a cross between the Lunatic's Leathers and El Muchacho, though the scarf and bandoliers look good.

It's hilarious because on gravelpit, 80% of red went to A first and not B when defending because of muscle memory. That mumble chat was pretty great. I did kinda bad as an engineer, though.

Or just change it into a completely different hat, bottom line is that hat is to close to another hat that is already in game. You tend to fight people on changes to your concepts for really no reason.
Just ditch the hat. Why does it need to become a set? We already have a similar hat. Just go into the resources folder and edit banned_items.txt by removing whatever you want to compile too.

Can Someone else confirm for me that itemtest is not working at the moment. Like, can you load a model into the game? Cause i have tried reinstalling and all sorts of shit and no matter what i do whenever i try to load a model it just freezes and then crashes to desktop
itemtest is broken in several ways, I dont think they are going to fix it. I personally dont crash to desktop though.
itemtest is broken in several ways, I dont think they are going to fix it. I personally dont crash to desktop though.
It just started crashing 2 days ago though, i knew about the other issues before then.
It just started crashing 2 days ago though, i knew about the other issues before then.
Oh, well in that case. You might try removing all of the files (moving, not deleting or anything) from the directory that itemtest is browsing to. I've noticed sometimes one of the files in a directory can cause the game to crash while using the importer.
Hi, I know how to model and texture, but im looking for some one serious that knows what he is actually doing. Requirements: 1) Knowledge and ability to texture and rig. 2)Can help me come up with ideas. 3)Knowledge of how to import in to the TF2 Workshop. If you are interested just add me http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198054451749/ I'm looking for someone to help me because I really want to contribute to the community of TF2 but I don't really have time to work all alone on an project. I personally use Maya, 3ds Max , Softimage and Blender so you will have to have knowledge of one of them. For texturing I use Photoshop but feel free to use Gimp or anything else.

You've definitely reached the right place to collaborate with other workshop contributors, but I'm afraid you're not going to get anywhere by just saying "I have an idea add me".
