So, i got new player. he was young, didn't know the value of hat's. Quote "oh that hat thingy", I was reeling him in (this is my first ever ripoff). Then he said he owed it to his brother, i asked what his brother was giving it to him. He said it was a personal favor and closed it off. How did i go for a first timer? Although i forgot to put it in windowed mode. Criticisms, tips, what did i do wrong?

You didn't do anything so you can't be rated. It's not your fault that he kept the item for his brother. Except if he lied to keep the item, which still isn't your fault.
okay, I went too degroot keep. I look through the names and spotted two targets. One person had a shitty name and a default tf2 avatar. One had no avatar and had the name "Ben". I looked through his back pack steam overlay (bad choice I know). I saw a coup d'isaster.He was playing demo, so I had planned to give him some demo weapons in exchange for the hat. He said hello and I said hello, I mention the hat. He said oh, that hat thingy. I knew he was new. Then he said he was giving it to his brother, I asked what he was giving, hoping to woo him with some weapon. Or two. Then he said personal favor then left. So, is it bad I felt bad? If he had not wanted to give it to his brother, what should I have done next?
