You had to manually check everyone's backpack unless you wanted to cough up some money to buy a scanner. In the time you could scan 10 servers with a scanner, you could scan maybe 1 or 2 by hand. I am very grateful there are now free and easy scanners. Also we had to climb over a hill of snow to get to Nighteam servers (both ways).

Find ones with less than 100 hours and look through their backpacks. Ungoranized and unequipped hat people are the easiest targets. If they have little weapons go for it. You might hook em.

I feel kind of guilty knowing I'm suckering them (especially when they have less than 30 hours). But I think they'll have alot more fun in the game at first by playing and experimenting with all the weapons...or weapon.
