I took some advice posted a while back to make it more team-neutral and also added a team-colored variant just because. Preview pictures could have been done better but I was in somewhat of a rush because I completely forgot to make them. If Metaru wants to be partially credited (before I finalize everything) since he made the concept art and whatever he can add me. If not I'll just finalize it since I have no idea if payment options even apply with unusual effects.
If Metaru really did the concept then they should be properly credited

My philosophy on cosmetic design is that people who wear them or observe them from the "outside" should have the final say in any change I make to my models/textures, because they're going to be using it and looking at it in the game. That's why I take the criticism I get here and on other forums very seriously and will fix the issues you adressed. I think both issues you pointed out can be fixed in the texture and that both changes will make it more readable from a distance. I've been contemplating on also making it paintable to add value for the people who currently own it, but personally I'm not a fan of most paints. What are your (and anyone else's) thoughts on this?
I say paint could work on the last breath if it affected the tint of the skull and eyes like how the team coloring is handled.

They usually add a item from a new contributor in each update or so like last year with that rabbit in a top hat for Halloween. Sure it might be unwanted by the community but you would have a item accepted.

No offense Ona, but you haven't really made THAT many items, and of the ones you did make over half is really not up to the standards of tf2 (please do not try to counter with some of the bad hats that have been added over the years). Much of the voters vote for the idea, and not so much the execution. And especially don't take it out on the more known contributors, they've earned their place and make a lot of items. Which, surprise surprise, the majority doesn't get in either

Who you are has no influence over whether or not your items get accepted in to the game, the people who you listed here are consistently making quality content. THAT'S why they constantly get items accepted and you don't. NeoDement? 226 workshop submissions, Sparkwire? 362 workshop submissions. most if not all of them are high enough quality to be accepted in to the game If you made 300 workshop items of outstanding quality you'd be getting items in game at the same rate as them. These people have worked for their success in TF2 and are rewarded with the ability to work full time doing it, they're not just Valve's favorites.

Bit gutted that I was too late to enter, but at least I learnt something new from all this; when working on an item(s) and there's a deadline, never leave it to the last day to finish it. Rushed items are a no - no
