So I was really interested in this set when I first saw the promos, but now that I've taken a closer look at it in TFMV, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed.

First off, the texture work is a bit weird. The brush size you went with for the metal wear is gigantic, and there's just so much weathering all over the pieces, making these items very visually noisy. A lot of that clutter doesn't show properly in the promos since they're painted over / filtered and have fancy lighting and atmospherics going on. But once you look at it in-game, it ends up looking really weird and jarring side by side with Heavy's other flatter textures.

The other thing that doesn't really sit well with me is... well... the fact that the shoulders don't sit well. They're just kind of hovering in the air, magically mounted onto nothing. From the front it's not so bad, but from the side or the rear, it looks pretty awful with all that empty space.

It's a real shame, based purely on the promos I went ahead and upvoted on the Workshop, but having had a closer look, I've had to reverse that decision. I like the general idea, but I wish you'd shopped this around a bit for critiques first.

Can you add gameplay poses screenshots? So many items look great in t-poses, but not so great with actual animations. I hope thats not the case with this set.

the biggest issue with this was is that it was close to the tris limit (~1280) when we got it done. we didnt have enough geometry for the back part. Hell, we even reduced it where we could just to make it work. The concept i made had a third piece planned wich covered the back, but it was never realized due the time restrictions i had in the end. The entire concept was a bit bulkier, heavier and more covering in general, but like i said, TRIS limit. Remember kids : Making chains is not a good idea if you want to keep the tris limit low.
