It's disturbing, but I don't think you could make it creepy enough to be offputting with tf2's art style.

I figure it's based more on cronenberg body-horror. not kids cartoons

Only thing I see bad about the mangled heavy is hitboxes. Snipers will probably complain that the head has some weird hitbox, or that the excess limbs don't have hitboxes. It'd probably have to be trimmed down :(
