• MvM Discussion Megathread: Do Androids Complain of Overpowered Upgrades?

I still remember the last time I did Mann Up, I went Scout, got team with 0 tours, one time we passed the 1st wave, one guy suggested me to change class because my class's cannon fodder. [editline]13th March 2014[/editline] "You don't want upgrades?" "I'm just saying..."
Am I the only one that is sightly disappointed in the mad milk syringe upgrade icon? I mean, look at this! [url]http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/c/cd/Tf_medic_assist_scout.png?t=20120908060516[/url] It is perfect in every possible way and yet they just copy pasted the overheal upgrade icon. I know not to expect much from valve but goddamn.
:[ by the way PSA : the spybot crash happens when the engi buildings are too far behind (like near Gate A) so bad engis literally crash the server [sp]no it's not true because it happens in rotten too.[/sp]

heh, remember when the upgrade icons still had the numbers from the achievements?

Imagine a weapon that marks for death, and the duration of the mark increases with more hits.
The Overdose used to have that mechanic in the beta.

It feels lazy, and the majority of them don't even fit.
so you know that bug where the bomb gets attached to a player? robots still react to it. it was attached to me and the chief blaster followed me around trying to "defend" me so I just baited him to the grinder. pretty hilarious [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/chief1.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/chief2.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/chief3.jpg[/thumb]

Demoknighting is fun. I suppose I'm really lucky for having a team that let me do it in Mann-Up, but being on the front lines and absolutely shredding everything feels great.

[QUOTE=Wolf532;44225897]How much damage were you doing with that sun on a stick anyway?[/QUOTE] It seemed to work fine considering they got on wave 5.
had like 40k at the end since we had a pyro weapons don't matter when everyone is good item server could break forever and all classes would still roll. only spy [I]might[/I] have a hard time without dr.
Valve sure knows how to make things glitch out when you lag. Either you get launched all the way in the sky as you run past a robot or get stuck in a giant.
[QUOTE=OffTheRoad;44233861]Valve sure knows how to make things glitch out when you lag. Either you get launched all the way in the sky as you run past a robot or get stuck in a giant.[/QUOTE] Once I got stuck inside the boss Blast Soldier in Metro 5th wave. Afterward, both me and the bot died due to massive fall damage. The boss Soldier had like 2/3 of his HP left before that happened :v:
remember; stepping on a player is an exploit i don't know why they gave the mantreads an attack that relies on an exploit. needs a fix.
[QUOTE=OffTheRoad;44226269]It seemed to work fine considering they got on wave 5.[/QUOTE] I'm not saying it's bad or anything (Scout melee hardly matters), I'm just curious how much damage he was putting out with the sun on a stick on giants (it doesn't really seem worth it on the smaller bots)
[QUOTE=OffTheRoad;44233861]Valve sure knows how to make things glitch out when you lag. Milk has a good enough splash radius to catch some slow moving target like that.

It wasn't really hard, since it was our third retry when this happened, so I knew his patch. But try to imagine me fanning the air searching for milk drips to mark him. :v:
2 unused Manhattan bosses [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/unused1.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/unused2.jpg[/thumb] the first is a sir-nukes-alot for soldier. each crocket has 5x damage, bigger splash and does a buster smoke explosion (3 rockets a clip = oh my god where is everything) but the blackbox only heals 15hp like normal. the second is the real major crits (the one on metro wave4 start) he was supposed to have the drill hat but I guess they removed it because he was made into a gatebot
A friend of mine just got his 2nd australium. It was a rocket launcher. And it was on his 9th tour. :suicide: EDIT: He also got 2 professional killstreak kit fabricators.
My friends gotten a gold tomislav, and a gold grenade launcher in only 11 tours randumb

The concept of robots in my head was bots with intergrated and interchangable weapons attached to their body, not the player weapons.
interesting stuff in the tutorial vid [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/vid1.jpg[/thumb] old coaltown spawn^ [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/vid2.jpg[/thumb] cart track on coaltown, + the bomb dropping paper bits like a normal intel [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/vid3.jpg[/thumb] tanks used to have no "head" ontop
