Quick, someone give the huntsman explosive headshot
Quick, someone give the huntsman explosive headshot
doesn't work. unless im doing something wrong (following the video) this trick doesnt work for me at all, with any upgrades, even the ones listed in the example.
So I guess they really did fix that exploit? That's what I get from their last update:
Fixed an exploit that allowed purchasing upgrades for weapons other than what they were intended for
Edit: seems it doesn't work if I try it on listen server. It works flawlessly when I join my friend's MVM server. Time to try it on Mann Up. 2nd Edit: still works on Mann Up :v:
doesn't work. unless im doing something wrong (following the video) this trick doesnt work for me at all, with any upgrades, even the ones listed in the example.
As I said some upgrades are hardcoded. Doesn't work on the huntsman but might on the ambassador.
The crit on kill on your example still works. Just tried it in 2 games of Mann Up already. Huntsman is now even more deadly with that penetration :v: Would be better if explosive headshot works on it. Stupid hardcoded stuffs...
ES is coded to only work on hitscan, obviously huntsman had them after the mvm launch, but they never worked regardless. should definitely work on the amby
Lots of bot suggestions
There are some excellent ones in there, however there are also quite a few that don't bring anything to the table, specifically anything that gives them crits. Lots of bots are already perma-crit boosted, and with max crit resistance only does 10% more damage. However if those "crit under certain circumstances" was "insta-death under certain circumstances", THAT would make them a lot more challenging/interesting.
I always wanted to see a wave of just fire based enemies. Like fast moving Axtinguisher Pyros, Slow moving rapid fire flare Pyros, and Giant Huo Long Heavies. It would literally be Hell.
i don't know why they had to "rebalance" the entire thing there were a total of 2 major complaints pretty much; the major crits gatebots that strut past everything and cap both gates against the crappier teams, and the bonk scouts that were annoying to just about everyone i've seen both of those could've been easily tweaked to be made slightly less of a chore and the rest of the waves (and the mission overall) would've been fine
honestly sometimes i think they should just remove the constant 100% crits from giant groups of enemies. what's the point? twenty aimbot hitscan enemies on the field all coming out of the same hole are still going to wreck your shit with or without crits.

I nearly went bonkers trying to conquer that thing, but kept coming back to try again and again. It's a shame they didn't rebrand it as an expert mission or something. Oh well.
I thought they patched that? Is that the one where you can add upgrades from weapons to other weapons?
snip
Since when have servers like this been part of the boot camp rotation? I just wanted an ordinary MvM session since I lack any tickets atm to Mann up and I keep getting 10 people servers with teams that still manage to fail despite getting a full number of people. I get the feeling I've missed some information from an update or something. [t]http://puu.sh/5JUNW.jpg[/t]

[t]http://puu.sh/5JUNW.jpg[/t]
They've always been apart of the boot camp rotation if they have a certain tag, I believe. I really think boot camp servers should only allow vanilla content (skins etc.) So if they have shit like 10 players, play with robots (it's p. fun), custom models or dumb donate to the server and get admin abilities, they won't be on the boot camp list. I don't want to download a damn large amount of content to play some normal boot camp.
do you happen to have any play with robot servers?
If they still haven't fixed that bug, that allows blu team to keep their red team upgrades, I wouldn't recommend it.
[t]http://puu.sh/5JUNW.jpg[/t]
Nice hud.
If they still haven't fixed that bug, that allows blu team to keep their red team upgrades, I wouldn't recommend it.
i'm amazed nobody seems to want to develop on that idea over at alliedmodders or give a shit at all. even the original author just gave up ages ago. they would rather want to work on terrible ideas like exploding players, rtd and the likes.
What do you think about that? http://tf2.gamebanana.com/sprites/4873
Oops, wrong thread :v:
ES is coded to only work on hitscan, obviously huntsman had them after the mvm launch, but they never worked regardless. should definitely work on the amby
Tried it. Can buy the upgrade for amby but the EH doesn't register at all (not damaging surrounding robots, not even slowing the robot in question) so another hard-coded stuff that only works on certain Sniper's primary only.
What do you think about that? http://tf2.gamebanana.com/sprites/4873
Doesn't work on Rottenburg.
Health regen isn't worth it. Theres a better upgrade called health on kill. Really, you should be upgrading your gun. But if you're not upgrading your gun, you should be buying resistances. (although upgrading your gun is better, killing shit faster increases your survivability [as does health on kill])
It's better to have them both if you think about it. It goes great with the black box. Health regen and 15 hp regained per hit can be used to conserve medkits around the map for others who need it.

Health regen is only worth buying if you're a scout with a ton of money, full resist and are just running around with a full speed sandman.
hp regen + health mastery = 20 hp regen
