voodoo souls search for a specific bodygroup skin on the playermodels since robots dont have such skins, it probably picks something else (red in this instance)
This is hilariously fun to do on servers that have !robot enabled. I thought it was a server glitch doing it so I thought nothing of it.
my god 170k damage as heavy i don't think so i hit this high before
What mission? 170k on either mannhattan missions is mediocre. [sp] Pissing all over your parade [/sp]
how normal/abnormal is it for a medic to get the highest score on a team? because i just did, 1300 points, with demo as second at 1100, everyone else less than 1000
kritz and milk spam support points to the point where it's probably broken or something
for how long were you playing on that server?
one mission on mannhattan
Revives give a lot of points.
Our engi is hassling the scout for not upgading his milk yet (wave 2) i check HIS upgrades, and ask why he only has one dispenser range "1 is all he needs to reach" i explain how 3 helps entire team without having to cuddle it, and he brushes me off that the sentry is the reason i didnt die during wave one, to which i told him i didnt die because the medic healed me when your shitty dispenser wouldnt he got pissed and destroyed all his buildings and sat in spawn laugh taunting we passed the wave with an A+, not trouble at all (not one cap taken), then we kicked him, and a friendly 151 tour engineer joined life is good sometimes
Cozy Camper is not a cosmetic.
Party hat, clown hair/nose, demo/solly samurai mouth thing, shoes
Party hat, clown hair/nose, demo/solly samurai mouth thing, shoes
Yeah, and I think the clown hair and nose are two miscs, but I'm not sure. That would make it five.
I wonder if they could fix giant demo&pyro gun sounds with a few lines of text
I'm considering getting into MvM once finals are done, but I'm intimidated by community, the meta, the price of tour tickets, and my rustyness from being away from TF2 for so long. What would you recommend to get me started or should I just stay n my comfort zone?

I'd say maybe play a round or two on normal to get a feel for upgrading and some basic gameplay but then try to move to intermediate. Normal difficulty has a tendency to attract a lot of idiots and is so pathetically easy if you stay with it too long you'll develop all sorts of horrible habits that you'll just have to break later.

There can be many deviations made, but you pretty much always want to have a scout and an engy. Deviating from this formula usually results in a kick, and most of the time it's warranted because it's newbies that pick spy, sniper, or pyro wave 1 and have no idea what they're doing. You can try fun stuff like that once you're either experienced enough or if you're playing with friends that are cool with it.

A dead-ringer spy can replace a scout. I remember seeing spies doing well in collecting money, as well as being a force to be reckoned with. But an engineer is irreplaceable- he is the only class that is required for a team to function at full capacity. Sometimes a Soldier is replaced with a Heavy, I remember how two Heavies are able to break a tank open very often, and can push back giants off ledges using Rage. He can also be replaced with a Phlog pyro to bust tanks. In maps like Mannhattan, a good sniper is very useful, there are no tanks and he can benefit the most from doing damage via explosive headshots. He also has Jarate to compensate for the loss of a Banner, while still being able to deal damage. The meta exists because people are afraid to waste their time and lose. Most of the time people will have faith if you're offclassing, but only once. Those are my two cents.
class selection highly fluctuates with player skill. You can do 6 soldiers with manglers and it will work as long as the players aren't terrible you can also reach a high enough skill level to not need a money collector : if the robots die fast enough to never shield the money away from the players, then everybody can get the cash. double classes (even triple!) can be extremely fun and possible if everyone do their parts Got to admit the dispenser is the biggest game-changer however you should only rely on a meta if you play with strangers or unexperienced people
With the introduction of the new Concheror, a 6 Soldier team can complete any map, I think.
items don't matter. they're just tools and bonuses. the more I hear this the more I want a week-long item server breakdown
items don't matter. they're just tools and bonuses. the more I hear this the more I want a week-long item server breakdown
The only thing you're saying here is that you have elitist tendencies, if that was your point. Why would you want the server to break down?
No, I'm saying people who rely on unlocks are wrong. A big majority of players judge class effectiveness entirely from unlocks. That is bad.
No, I'm saying people who rely on unlocks are wrong. A big majority of players judge class effectiveness entirely from unlocks. That is bad.
Then what does measure class effectiveness to you? What I meant by what I said is that the new Concheror can heal all the other Soldiers while they deal damage, since the problem would be playing without an Engineer or a Medic. I won't object a week vanilla if it would not cause trading losers to go nuts that they can't wear their sick unusuals. But I think the problem is making more 'Gunboats'. Unlocks that do not make the stock weapon/other unlocks to look unattractive. The 'Ubersaw' phenomenon is a problem because the base weapon seems unappealing as a result. This was solved with the Demoman with the introduction of the Immunity to Afterburn for the Targe; but the SR is underutilized because it slows down combat for the Demoman when he is cornered and is usually disappointed when he cannot deny ground for the Scout. Other than that, I don't seem to understand what you're conveying.
