The possibility of an upcoming radial taunt menu has me excited. It would be neat to hifive and such during mvm without being scolded for having no canteen.
Now I can get crits and laugh at my teammates being crushed because my crits won't help them while I'm laughing! Oh boy! :v: [editline]11th June 2014[/editline] Also, all that speculation about a new MvM mode is exciting me. I hope we get a new mode involving robots that's not "stop the bomb" thing to finally get a new mission type. Imagine something like protecting a building from infinite robots for an amount of time before the building's health goes to zero. Or something like a mode where you have to kill all the robots, but each one has one life each wave. MvM has so much potential. I'm glad that the hints of today's update point to new stuff coming for both PvP and MvM.
speaking of bombs, they broke multiple bombs [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/multiple.jpg[/thumb] they flicker like crazy.
speaking of bombs, they broke multiple bombs [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/multiple.jpg[/thumb] they flicker like crazy.
... and you're invisible. as a medic.
its addcond66. it started doing this since today's patch. looks like punchy is getting mad

I'm guessing that the first soldier to the left of that fuel tnk is carrying an invisible bomb...?
hard to show flickering in a screenshot indeed, but yes the 2 soldiers in the background have a bomb.
its addcond66. it started doing this since today's patch. looks like punchy is getting mad
yeah, I know it is, was just saying how I don't think it's very normal to see someone turn invisible as a medic.
I love Mann Up now. I was playing with a couple of friends. After 20+ minute matchmaking times, we had some 120 tour asshole barking orders and insults all the damn time. We votekicked him after a few waves so that we could at least be satisfied that they had wasted time by being an ass. Unfortunately his buddy also left and we didn't want to wait for 2 more people to join. We try again and decide to all wear gibuses, equip the bison and rename ourselves to BISON SQUAD LEADER/MEMBER 1/MEMBER 2.
Rocket specialist would've helped a bit with those super scouts :v:
Rocket Jumper w/ Specialist. Best idea ever. The other soldier did go Mad Milk Scout later on, which helped a lot.
Rocket Jumper w/ Specialist. Best idea ever. Neither of them can be recommended in serious play though.
Expect running RJ with bison is fine in serious play if you have another class help with the crowd control. Sydney is perfectly fine to run no matter what.
meanwhile a new problem; tanks now sometimes give everybody 999 clientside lag seems to happen with multiple tanks in the map at once
its addcond66. it started doing this since today's patch. looks like punchy is getting mad
It seems an interesting alternative to disabling viewmodels entirely. You can see all the weapon animations, but it doesn't obstruct your vision. I wonder if it's possible to make a mod for PvP.

In competitive or in normal gameplay as well?
it's reminescent of transluscent viewmodels and i heard it's a bannable offense [t]http://tftrue.redline-utilities.net/TransparentViewmodel.jpg[/t]
Why would that be bannable?
messing with vmts is how you can get enemies to appear through walls. sure, it's used on a weapon in this case, but valve isn't known to make exceptions.
Why would that be bannable?
I doubt this is the same mod but there was some plugin or something that let you adjust a few commands beyond their limit including your FoV which could be raised to let you see through walls. It also included a command for translucent viewmodels.
You know what would be truly great? If the new weapons end out being so interesting that they end up changing MvM meta. I mean, just think of other class getting a throwable capable of slowing robots down in place of a weapon that is already good for MvM. I'm thinking of something like a throwable secondary for Soldier or Pyro.
Throwables arent generally effective unless they have a burst shot and are more support based rather than offense. So, throwing a moltov into a crowd as heavy probably isnt as effective as mowing them down with penetration upgrades. Milk and jarate are effective because it empowers the team with health or minicrits. So theyd have to make more radius throwables, unlike guillotine or sandman
[thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvm/mvmvs.jpg[/thumb] 2 friends as giant meds + competent enemy team = stalemate until we pop charge and gently plant the bomb

I don't know, but I think Pyro could have a helpful secondary grenade. I mean, does anyone actually use something besides flamethrower and melee in MvM? Flare gun sounds like the best option, but it takes too much money to become useful, IMO...
You use the flare guns for taking out sniperbots, long range damage until you get close enough, bit of knockback and/or added mobility. No money needed.

[sp]I'm too obvious though so you two can run away from it easily, not like these guys bother to bodyblock.[/sp] Speaking of which, I wonder if it's ever possible to have 6 spies with full armour penetration stabbing 1 Giant at the same tick to instantly kill one, even if it was being healed by a Giant Medic :v: I can already see the first obstacle being the Spies blocking each other's stabs.
Nothing more upsetting than deadweights in MvM Honestly i understand you havent spent 1000 hours in MvM and you still have room to improve but how damn selfish are you to run into expert and advanced tours with NO prior experience, and then they're also deaf and mute and refuse to cooperate with requests and suggestions And i'd rather not hear the "play with friends" attitude because when i grind mvm it's not on a scale i can drag 5 people alongside with me, even from the mvm groups i'm in which don't get much activity at night when i play It's just, please try bootcamp or at least an easier tour before joining mann up and being nothing but a burden on the team
how do you expect efficient "grinding" if you refuse to use pre-made teams?
Had a deadweight spy the entire game who never landed a backstab, missed money and constantly apologized at the end of the round saying "we did ok enough" when asked he said he was collecting money to be spy later waves and i asked why he didnt start as scout and end as spy wave 7 rolls around he starts a votekick on me and whoopadee it passed on me
