so just completed a mannhattan mission with double mini sentry and fully upgraded pistol
the dance floor couldn't handle me. also the giant scouts couldnt hit me for some reason so i kept body blocking them and killing them with my gunslinger. i don't understand

Wouldn't complain about high tours - it was just a large amount of tours spread around the entire team. I'm on my 20th tour at the moment.
Is that cost coming directly out of pocket, or are you offsetting some of it with Steam Market?

That's how I've been paying for all my tours. I'm on my 14th now. I've been completing the pro kits I've been getting then selling them for 30-40$ each. Sold an original kit for a bud the other day.
I've been getting a pro kit every 4-5 tours, so every few tours I've been getting about a bud in return which pays for another 4-5 tours.

Damn, this is a cool system. About how much do tour tickets cost nowadays? Are they really 1/4 bud like you hinted at?

Tour of duty tickets cost $0.99 or 0.69 euros, each two cities tour is 4 missions long, so you need 4 tickets.

Purely numbers wise, what outputs more damage when maxed out - a sticky launcher or a scottish resistance?
Also, am I better off as an engie to use my 35 crits from a frontier justice on a tank while my sentry shoots it or do you get more damage done by purely just wrangling?
SR does more damage on a prepared layout but it can't keep up with airbursts and fast dets. SL is overall better.
and wrangle does more
Well finished my 4th Tour and I got... a Specialized Killstreak Machina with Team Shine. Not bad, I can get something nice trading it.

I want to add my 2 cent to this.
SR and SL more or less have the same dps but SR has a bigger chance at getting decreased dps because by the time the stickies are armed, the robots might have already died or they ran past/around them. If you just stickytrap the robot entrance/drop area the SR can be really good but SL is overall "better"
SL is better at constant robot hordes while SR is more massive burst damage with a semi long set up time.
Wrenching a tank while your sentry shoots actually does more damage than wrangling. This also applies to the frontier justice (justice does more than wrangling).

I agree with your post otherwise, but how come doubling your sentry's firing speed can do less damage than using your melee alongside having a sentry firing at the tank?
I really can't explain it. I believe it's because each bullet doesn't do that much damage, while a wrench with max swing speed does constant 65 damage, twice each sec with the chance of crits.
I actually tested it soo I aren't just saying shit.
this is hard, i want to buy a round of tickets but the update will likely hit today.
i have around $40, but i already have 13 tours so this would just be a leisure

I never said that you were talking shit, just kind of curious about the thing you said. It also makes sense with how the damage fall off and ramp up for sentry's rockets is calculated. If you were standing next to a tank, you'd make the rockets do 150 damage per hit, pretty much tripling their damage instead of you being far away from the target and dropping the rocket damage down to 50.
So, to really max out on DPS the Engineer could also buy crit canteens if the money is not a problem and they still need to deal with the tank to get both a doubled firing speed and tripled damage with their melee while whacking at the tank.
I were just clarifying that I actually tested it or weren't just spouting dumb.
Also, it's 3x sentry firing speed with crit canteens.

Just went ingame and tested it. Wiki is wrong.
Try wrangling a sentry and then using a crit canteen. You will notice a huge difference. It is also hardcapped to max 300% firing speed increase, soo you can't max firing speed upgrades and use a crit canteen with the wrangler to get 780% firing speed.

Hmm, you're right after all. Sorry about this stupid argument of mine.
Man, upgraded Grenade Launcher is beast. Much more damaging than the Sticky Launcher, I still use it for small meds and to dish damage to giants when they appear.

not taking out a group of medics in one shot, which only a carpet of stickies can do (for the demoman), is risky as fuck. if one medic gets a tiny bit of splash damage he's going to blow his uber.

Yep, I always ask demomen that upgrade their nade why they didn't just go soldier - it's practically the same effect but it's easier to hit shit with the solly.

I wanna try the new Rottemburg/Manhatan missions, opting to earn somthing. But I'm pretty much a noob in this. Anyone up?
So apparently the update today broke something.
I joined a party and we were going to mannhattan, We got sent to a server and this is what we found

Everyone had left when I took the screenshot.
We were connected to a Mannworks server, wave 0, no bots. It appears to be fucking up Mannworks and Mannhattan. Sent a PM to a few friends and a friend reported he just had the same issue in a completely different party.
I've had instances where waves start with half completion and teams have had negative cash. Whatever tweaks they made to MvM seems to have brought some nasty bugs out of the wood work.
You know what would be cool? A Pyro boss that has the Phlogistinator and everytime it kills a player he taunts and activate the MMMPH. So basically, it would be a black box Pyro boss. That would be cool [sp]and cruel[/sp]
Man, I can't connect to no servers today (I live in Japan).Well, it does says no nearby around.
