This 110 health 4 scout is knida stupid u know, the scout has got to be the weakest class in the game, and they made this health go down to by 15 was not a good thing to do, the "No double jump" was a great thing but no,
125HP scout is certainly not the weakest class in the game, and while 110HP is the lowest in the game it doesn't mean scout can't survive well. No double jump is not steep enough of a drawback for the ability the sandman gives.
He's pissed because he can't dodge a ball
When used at mid range, where it should be, you can't dodge it. If you don't get hit the scout missed.
this is something that never should have been put in the game in the first place. It, like the scout's other unlocks, were just frustrating and not all that fun to play with or against. The entire scout update just sucked, imo.
Yeah, the scout unlocks were badly thought out and probably not balance tested.
What ever happened to people taking a certain percent less damage while stunned? I know I saw that some where.
Wow, it's interesting to see how many people want the original back after such a big uproar over how 'overpowered' the original version was.
As for myself, I'm kind of split between the no-double-jump and 95HP versions; both of them serve the same general defensive purpose. I hated the running stun, though, because too many people were able to escape before I could get over there and deal any damage.
i like to running stun
I like the current sandman.
No double jump, at least some balance.
The first (original) one, with stunning ubers and no double jump.
Original. Thing's a worthless hunk of shit now.
I was an absolute monster with that it and my FaN when they were first released. Now I don't even bother with the Sandman.
Or the FaN for that matter... Hm, I seem to be drifting back to the original loadouts. I'm ok with that.
I always use vanilla Scout.
He's fine the way he is. I keep the sentries and other threats to my teammates, since Tf2 is a team-based game.
I used to only play vanilla scout, but strawberry scout is a good change. Horse-A-Nature, Punch and Sandman seems to work well for me.
I much preferred the sandman the way it was, but right now it's the running stun. Not many enemies can outrun Scout, so you can get in a couple of seconds to get close up, which is where the HaN can do the most damage in such little time.
I use vanilla Scout loadout, but I use the Sandman occasionally. Cry all the way you want, but it's still a damn entertaining weapon. :v:
The Sandman is fine. The first version was great, actually stunning enemies and also ubers. But I missed double jump a lot.
The current version is the best, I miss stunning ubers and I'm not too fond of the slowdown, but it's got a decent trade off now.
sandman will never be good
I often use Sandman. It's so handy when escaping or holding out an attack.
The old sandman was good, except for the stunning ubers part. Ubers are meant to be invulnerable.
I use the sandman constantly and I don't mind the running stun. Gives enough time for the target to be taken out by another team member and still gives me the point and self satisfaction. I loved stunning ubers but I recognize that this is a bit too overpowered.
Use only metal bat, kill people in an annoying way.
Sandman is fine as it is right now. The original was the most flawed of all the weapons in TF2. The very idea of stunning players is flawed, it could stun ubers and removed one of the scout's most useful abilities.
Like Shugo, I'm torn between the no double-jump and 95 HP versions. I liked both about equally, although I used the 95 HP version much more frequently. The running stun I've always hated, and found almost completely ineffective.
If it was 95hp and without running stun it'd be perfect.

Well 95hp is even worse. A pipe or direct rocket will OHKO
well as a scout player i'd like the original, i felt it was the best
as an everything else player i want the damn thing rocketed into the sun
95hp is just too little for the Scout. Voted for no double jump. At least he still keeps his speed.
No double jump
I liked the original one best. I occasionally use it now, but only because it's funny to see the occasional player who rages when stunned.
I vote for release stats.
