What are your tips using this program on widows xp?
It seems to make a huge lag and even crash steam so badly i needet to povershut it.
Nothing I can do about that. Sorry.
I did everything in the ReadMe, yet when I start the program, I get this error.
ERROR in
action number 10
of Alarm Event for alarm 2
for object obj_flagam:
Error defining an external function.
I aborted it, and the program still worked normally, except that it didn't put up a window so I could put in the Source Application ID. It still launches TF2 like normal, but I can't micspam at all. Help would be appreciated.
Restart. Works for me.
The problem with defining an external function is always solved by a restart. I have absolutely no idea why it happens.
can you please make this support Zombie Master too?
can you please make this support Zombie Master too?
Actually, you *can* use it with Zombie Master and other SourceMods, too. Go to the launch settings of Zombie Master and put this in the launch code: -window -noborder
Then, start TF2DJ, select your wanted resolution, and leave Fullscreen ticked on. When you're asked to enter an application ID, leave the field blank and go. Then, go to Steam and start Zombie Master.

I'm in the Virtual Audio Cable camp. Running VAC, Foobar and TF2 in noborder windowed mode is much better than any other way of micspamming, and you don't need to mess with the music files when you can just adjust the equalizer.
I just set this up. Aw yeah.
I just set this up. Aw yeah.
Just you wait! I actually figured out a way to make it work using Virtual Audio Card and a hidden wmplayer.exe process. Even better is that all Windows users have WMP, and WMP provides SRS HD effects and an equalizer to strengthen the high frequencies.
A new update will be released in a day or two.

I will use this over foobar if it works with Virtual Audio Cable!

I tried doing that, but Zombie Master closes the second it opens up.
Huh, I used to micspam all the time on the FP server, good shit too.
I might start doing this again once I'm done with the finals, this thing looks awesome!
(Remember Barnacle Bill? :3:)
I tried doing that, but Zombie Master closes the second it opens up.
Really? I'ma try it myself.
Oh yes. Doesn't work. It's because your selected resolution is smaller than the Zombie Master game's window size. Open up Zombie Master normally, select a window size of e.g. 640x480, and then select 800x600 inside TF2DJ. SourceMods don't work with the -noborder parameter, so setting the same resolution and window size is not optimal.
Any chance that this will become open source? I can't personally write Delphi/Pascal but if someone ports this to C and maintains the port then I feel like third party contributions can help immensely. (Example being the problem of playing audio through a specific interface without using WMP hacks.)
I would do it myself, but my experience with win32 gui-subsystem c programming, as well as DirectX, is dodgy at best. I might be able to work through it if I saw the Delphi code (hopefully avoiding C++ if your use of classes isn't rampant), but otherwise nothing.
HLDJ is open source, and it's quite useful because if someone doesn't like a feature, they can just change it themselves. It would be an easy and effective action to release the source of this tool as well.
Hopefully this causes servers to stop using that old TF2 voice chat.

apparently everytime I go to server it tells me it cannot verify my steam ID. yes, i've tried restarting STEAM and restarting my computer.
I give up.

Not that it's super hard to "revert," since I fortunately just commented out the v1.056 code, but I never saved the code for each version. I should probably do that when I start another project.
Which reminds me, I should probably release v1.071 soon. It's just that v1.071 loads audio slowly, so you have to wait 1 to 3 - and sometimes even 5 - seconds before the micspam plays. Therefore, v1.056 will remain the primary version, with v1.071 provided for those that don't mind having to wait a moment. I blame WMP.
I just gotta finish that tutorial video of sorts. The source code will be released with v1.071. TF2DJ is developed using Game Maker 8.0.
apparently everytime I go to server it tells me it cannot verify my steam ID. yes, i've tried restarting STEAM and restarting my computer.

Please tell me you're not serious.
Please tell me you're not serious.
Who gives a damn? As long as the program does what it's supposed to, the end user doesn't care, and neither do I.
What, I develop it in machine code and I'm cool because it's the most difficult method? Screw that.
It may or may not be appropriate to doublepost, but I just want to say that the v1.071 update won't happen before 7th or 8th of July. Vacation, and all that.
I've brought my files, but I can't work on it because of the brilliant program named OfficeScan that prevents me from using the software crack.
Cya then.
Whenever I try to select a sound input on the voice section the sound mixer option does not show AT ALL.
Whenever I try to select a sound input on the voice section the sound mixer option does not show AT ALL.
Could it be that you have too many windows open?
Ah, I dunno. You can always open it yourself from the Control Panel.
TF2DJ has now been updated to v1.071, another milestone update. The primary changes are that sound volume has been removed and you can hear others using Virtual Audio Cable. There’s a small delay of 1-1.5 seconds upon playing back any micspam, so please don’t be too quick when using TF2DJ. The setup is also slightly different, so you might as well delete the old TF2DJ from your drive.
Added:
– Nothing.
Changed:
– TF2DJ will now hide/show when playing/stopping a sound. It won’t respond when the status is set to “Wait.”
– Sound volume removed. It can always be changed in WMP.
– Updated the README with more instructions.
– The demo viewing bind and a lot of other information has been removed from the README, since it’s now redundant.
– Instead of sound volume, a status message will display in the top right corner, telling the current state of TF2DJ.
– The selected micspam is no longer preloaded when you select it and haven’t played it yet.
Fixed:
– Due to the use of WMP to play the sounds, in-game sounds can now be heard when set up properly. This makes the demo viewing bind redundant, too.
– Now works on Windows XP.
– Made the icon look a bit better.
– Slightly adjusted the priority when it’s on Automatic.
Should add 1920x1080 to the list of 16:9 resolutions, and keep the settings in an ini file so that people don't have to select the game, resolution, etc. every time.
@Tabarnaco
1. You can type in a custom resolution by selecting "Custom resolution" and clicking Play.
2. If you tried TF2DJ, you would notice that it remembers the game everytime. I never got around to making it remember the resolution or Fullscreen tick, though, but I suppose that shouldn't bother you too much.
I don't know what your idea of "remembering the game" is but if I have to exit Notepad and click another OK button every time I start it then it's not doing it right. And if you want me to type in 1920x1080 every single time I launch it then I don't see the point in having a list of resolutions in the first place.
Also, the volume is way too loud no matter what I do.
I even de-amplified a file in Audacity and the volume was the same.
@Tabarnaco
1. The list is for those that want to use the most common resolutions without having to type it each time.
2. I'm not sure what you can do about the volume. Just deamplify it some more, or play around with the effect settings in WMP.
1920x1080 is one of the most common display resolutions and it's not there, that's the point.

That's your point of view. My view is different.
Which Virtual Audio Cable are you guys using? Can I have link?
Go to Google, search for "virtual audio cable 4.10.zip", and click the link that you think suits you best.
