That's your point of view. My view is different.
No, it's not "my point of view". You're just wrong. On Google there are approximately 71,400,000 results for "1920x1080" and only 34,800,000 for "1680x1050", the largest 16:10 resolution. And oh, how about the largest 16:9 resolution you have, 1360x768? Only 3,610,000 results. That's less than 20 times less than 1920x1080. Now to be fair, it's entirely possible that there are many more results for "1920x1080" because it's the true HD resolution for televisions, but that certainly doesn't excuse excluding this resolution and including something that has less than 20 times less results than 1080p, it's just impossible that 90% of the results have to do with TV. The second Google result is a monitor for me and none of the first page has to do with televisions except for one Wikipedia article. Also funny is that you don't even list the correct aspect ratios, I didn't check all of them but it's obvious when you've got 1280 and 1360 pixels of width for 1024 pixels of height in the 4:3 list, as well as 765 and 768 for a width of 1360 in 16:9. So the resolution thing is pretty shitty. I don't really understand why people have to enter their screen resolution in the first place, surely there's a way to detect it automatically. Or to ignore it altogether, I don't understand why the screen has to have its resolution changed/refreshed at all (people who tried it should know what I'm talking about, the screen flashes when the program is started and exited). I appreciate the effort you invested into making this program but you have to face its issues (and preferably correct them).
Oh really? Then take a look at a more correct search for 1920x1080 and then 1680x1050. 1920x1080 is about two times as common, not 20 times as common. Stop exaggerating. I find my resolution common. I selected all the resolutions and their corresponding size ratios from within Team Fortress 2. I didn't do any deep research like you assumably did to justify yourself. Shitty is an opinion of yours. I don't see the big deal with just typing it in. Most people (that can't afford gaming rigs or spend 90% of their money on game titles) would use a relatively low resolution like 800x600 or 1024x768 anyway. I think this is fine as it is. If you don't like it, which I think you don't, then don't use it.
While we are at it, if i would buy a new monitor with a higher resolution (I use 1024x768 now) does it make the performance for games worse, or is it just the same?
A higher resolution means more pixels to process, so yes, higher resolutions will slow your games down. Anyway, I downloaded this a while ago and started reading the readme. It says I need to download this "Virtual Audio Cable" thing. Problem is, it isn't free, and the trial version adds a female voice every few seconds. I really don't feel like paying $30 just so I can properly micspam in my Source games, but I refuse to torrent it (as the readme suggests). Unless I find some sort of legal alternative to torrenting Virtual Audio Cable, I will not be using TF2DJ.
@Wormy If you run the game in windowed mode, yes. If you run it in fullscreen, it doesn't matter. Also, when I mentioned those two resolutions, I was referring to when the user would be playing the game, not when using the computer normally. @Gamma Well, that's a shame :/. Good luck finding a free alternative.
Virtual Audio Cable costs money? Thats odd, i got it for free. And im pretty sure i downloaded it from the main site.
Yes, with a female voice echoing every several seconds.
Would downloading an older version of VAC (say, 3.10) work? And if it would, would it be legal?
I hear no female voice.
That can't have been from the official site.

I think it's not necessary unless I'm pushing out an important update, in which it could be made part of that update.
Wait, TF2DJ doesn't support running TF2 at 1080p? Am I understanding this correctly? 1080p is one of the most common resolutions used in gaming. :pwn:
Wait, TF2DJ doesn't support running TF2 at 1080p? Am I understanding this correctly?
It does, but people miss the "Custom resolution" selection. When you select that, you can type in any resolution you want, given that your monitor supports it. The only reason I even made a list of resolutions was to make it quicker to access the mostly used resolutions (at least the ones I used). I didn't work hard on making the list super-extensive.
This is kind of too much just to mic spam having to go through all of this trouble.
This is kind of too much just to mic spam having to go through all of this trouble.
Wanna play in windowed mode? Be my guest.
'Go to Steam -> Settings -> Voice -> Change Device. Select "Line 1 (Virtual Audio Cable)" and then click on the button at the bottom of the window that says "Set Default."' Won't this mean that I won't be able to use my microphone (for anything)? The more I read about TF2DJ, the more I don't like it.
You won't be able to use your microphone while micspamming.
'While micspamming' as in while I'm actively playing audio or while TF2DJ is enabled? It's a given that I won't be able to use the mic while playing a sound. But if it completely disables my mic while it's enabled, I'm not using it.

Sorry to hear that you won't be using it, though.
How can i stop autoreplaying of my sounds?
How can i stop autoreplaying of my sounds?
Autoreplaying? You must be using an old version. This is caused by the game hogging all the CPU, making TF2DJ lag horribly behind. This is not an issue in v1.071, though.
___________________________________________ ERROR in action number 10 of Alarm Event for alarm 2 for object obj_flagam: Error defining an external function.
This is an obscure and unfixable error that occurs at rare, but random intervals. The only fix I have for it is to restart the computer. If it appears, click Ignore at all times and play your game in windowed mode. The DLL it talks about is meant for fullscreen support.
Of course, i was using it yesterday
I really don't know what you can do, other than restarting or "reinstalling," or reextracting, rather.
I really don't know what you can do, other than restarting or "reinstalling," or reextracting, rather.
Well, i did everything from the tutorial again, but the same error appear
___________________________________________ ERROR in action number 10 of Alarm Event for alarm 2 for object obj_flagam: Error defining an external function.
Well, i did everything from the tutorial again, but the same error appear Maybe you could send me a older version...
Wow, you really did? Older versions can be found on the page itself. Look closely below the video where it says "Other versions:".
Wow, you really did? Older versions can be found on the page itself. Look closely below the video where it says "Other versions:".
Tried older versions, and the error is happening too... when i keep clicking on "Ignore" and try to play in fullscreen, the program says that Could not change the resolution, if i try to play in windowed mode, TF2 open and the program plays a random sound, if i try to stop the sound, change it, etc, the program closes. I'll delete all regedit entries and try again. Sorry for my bad english Edit: Deleted all entries in regedit, same problem... meh.
Sorry for double-posting, i didn't found a fix for that, some days the program work, some days the program doesn't work, that's really weird You could make an organize function, all sounds in one single list is hard to find an specific one
Sorry for double-posting, i didn't found a fix for that, some days the program work, some days the program doesn't work, that's really weird
I know, and I don't know a fix for it. Also, TF2DJ doesn't change any registry values. O_o
