A friend of mine just tried installing TF2DJ. He followed a tutorial and got everything set up, only to recieve this error:

He installed Microsoft .NET Framework and it started working. Not sure if it actually was the .NET framework or adding songs that fixed it.

I'll try to reproduce this error.

TF2DJ has now been updated to v1.076. Yes, I know it's been long. I've been keeping this version for a month or so, but I never could be arsed enough to upload it until now. The source files are also included if you feel like extending my work or something.

You've selected the wrong audio input in the Steam settings. Did you follow the video tutorial?
having a little trouble with that mediafire link. it says "processing your request" and doesn't load, or hasn't loaded yet...
Well it seems that I can download it now. server must've been down cos my friend also couldn't download it.
MediaFire has had some downtime today, likely due to maintainence. I noticed this as well.
I set up TF2DJ like in the video. It is working in garry's mod but I think not in TF2. When I press 0 some noise can be heard. Then two same music files are playing and my friend that hears it says that he doesn't heard music but noise. But as I said in GMOD it works pretty well. ɥǝןd!
Not sure what to do about that. It doesn't make sense to me that it works in GMod but not TF2. You'll have to figure this out yourself. Sorry.

You should not get banned for that. I think the worst case scenario is getting banned from the server you use it on if you actually spam annoying things.
Is it just [I]me[/I] or is the quality about the same as HLDJ had?
I just use the Num 0 key and XMplay which outputs the sound to VAC.
Do I have to set something like the sample rate and does anyone have tips on the EQ? I tried boosting high frequencies but that doesn't really make it better.
I guess there's a HQ mode where the ingame sounds are entirely muted but I have no clue how to enable that.
Also you can just use global keyboard shortcuts with fullscreen if you haven't figured yet. Of course that's not very convenient for browsing songs :p
Anyway, as Max said: -windowed -noborder works like a charm.

Does this have an interface like HLDJ? (console song selection or song selection like it) (Sorry for the stupid question. I have been using HLDJ for years and have only just found this. I didn't much like HLSS since I had to bind songs to keys and well, I couldn't exactly bind 1000+ songs and soundbites to individual keys)

I've had fun recently micspamming the Mission Impossible theme after getting kills as a spy.
I had a medic following me as a spy who would hum the theme along with me after my kills.
If you could help me out with this it would be appreciated...
I installed TF2DJ just like the README told me to...I installed VAC just like it told me to...I set up all the stuff, and run TF2DJ.
The HUD shows up like normal, all the songs from my directories show up just like normal, but when I press 0 nothing happens. None of the binds are working at all, and yes, I created an autoexec.cfg file...I even pasted the bind in config.cfg, still nothing.
Any help?
