Honestly, that was really touching of Spy to do that. Never thought Spy would go out of his way to do that for someone, especially not him.
So [sp]is every TFC mercenary dead now? What's there left to do apart from preventing the administrator's inminent death and getting more australium?[/sp]
So [sp]is every TFC mercenary dead now? What's there left to do apart from preventing the administrator's inminent death and getting more australium?[/sp]
TECHNICALLY [sp]we never actually saw TFC Engi die (that I'm aware of anyway), but I'm assuming it's heavily implied that he's dead if the Spy was disguised as him.[/sp] EDIT: Since I didn't mention it yet: great issue. Art was great, the various plots/plot elements were great, TF2's quality comedy was present in spades, and I really like that each character got a moment- even if brief- to really shine this time around ([sp]Medic's always been my favorite class to play and his part in this issue was absolutely stellar[/sp]) Quality stuff, I only hope it doesn't take anywhere near as long for issue #7 to come out and put a nice little bow on the plot's remaining mysteries.
I hope there'll be some kind of physical release for all these once they're done, to go alongside my old The Sacrifice hardcover. They could do that thing where they put two widescreen digital 'pages' on one physical page. These comics are so good, man.
The facial expressions are so good in these comics, you could fill up a whole folder with them
The artist is really skilled with comedy expressions and 'acting', if you like Avatar and/or The Legend of Korra you owe it to yourself to check out her dozens of hilarious Beifong comics
Tf2 even writes gay relationships better than overwatch.
Did you just assume my liver
i'm suddenly reminded that a tf2 tv show might have happened on adult swim and it didn't and that's depressing
gonna be a chunky ass book.
Hopefully they don't forget about it. So I'm guessing with Issue #7, it's going to be the end of the TF2 Canon story.
So, I was reading the new comic and decided to be completely objective about it afterwards. Then this happened You'll find me in my bunk. The whole thing is not helped by the scene prior being ambigous as to if [sp] Pauling was distracted by the naked Soldier or the naked Zhanna, with me definitely going with the latter[/sp]. If I can disregard my hormones for just a moment, I thought it was a nice issue, all things considered, with a fair amount of both comedy and more serious stuff, with also some nice lore nods. I just hope it won't worsen upon reading it again, like it was the case with the last issue
That was amazing. I didn't expect it to come out so soon. I miss TF2 so much
That was amazing. I didn't expect it to come out so soon. I miss TF2 so much
"Soon" is so relative right now.
"Soon" is so relative right now.
Yeah, I assumed it was never happening.

More Zhanna is always good. We need more Zhanna.

The comic gave me a few more questions... First, if the Team Fortress mercs are considered rejects and are the worst team at the Administrator's disposal, why are they still earning huge amount of money from their work as seen in previous comics? Second, if the Engineer's family has been helping the Admininstrator for many generations, then why is the Engineer in Team Fortress instead of with some other teams? For someone with 11 PhDs that doesn't seems like a reject to me.

Who are idiots. iirc they haven't gotten a penny from Helen directly, we don't even know if they're getting paid for this current op.

Having Dell Conagher stuck in a gravel pit with a bunch of idiots is probably safer than throwing him out into actual life or death combat missions. Which makes it funny because you'd have more chance surviving a life or death suicide mission than an evening with the Soldier.
Zhanna tenth class valve pls
Covered in various liquids based martial arts would make for interesting gameplay.
The TFC crew were paid well but asked questions about what & why, and swiftly disposed of Grey when they figured out they could just take everything he had. [editline]11th January 2017[/editline]
That's such a fucking clever callback if it was intentional, sweet Christ.
Speaking of clever callbacks: [t]http://media.steampowered.com/apps/tf2/tf03_cold_day_in_hell/images/comic/1024x768/070.jpg?v=1[/t] [t]http://media.steampowered.com/apps/tf2/tf03_cold_day_in_hell/images/comic/1024x768/072.jpg?v=1[/t] [t]http://media.steampowered.com/apps/tf2/tf06_thenakedandthedead/images/comic/1024x768/247.png?v=1[/t] I forgot so many details over the years, I should've pulled a Dr McNinja and marathoned all the prior ones before this.
The baboon uterus stuff was an obvious setup, but it was funny. The plutonium bit-- it was so long ago that Meet the Director came out, and it was such a clever-but-throwaway line that I question if it was intentional or not. If it was, it's genius. If it wasn't, it's just a fantastic coincidence. It's like a lightning strike that runs through the entire comic series. Even going back to the WAR comic (which was like, the first serious comic?) the Administrator was adhering to her own rules in regard to what she says in MTD. So basically.. the entire thing could have been averted if Grey Mann bought some cameras and didn't meet the mercs in person like a fucking moron. [editline]11th January 2017[/editline] It's like poetry.
[t]http://media.steampowered.com/apps/tf2/tf06_thenakedandthedead/images/comic/1024x768/247.png?v=1[/t]
I know people have mentioned the Medic holding the baboon baby later, but a really small detail that I love and haven't seen anyone mention is Medic triggering the inductor/detonator in that last panel (which presumably leads to the arrival of said baboon). It's a tiny thing, but I love it.
gonna be a chunky ass book.
I'm still wondering how they are going to do that when a lot of the panels are identical with small changes in detail.
Didn't several people here predict Demo's blood alcohol content was what would kill the blood sucking robots?
Didn't several people here predict Demo's blood alcohol content was what would kill the blood sucking robots?
It was overwhelmingly predicted and seemed rather obvious, the only catch was the whole fact that he had no alcohol with him, so [sp]his body turning itself into a distillery[/sp] was what made it actually possible while being comical about it.
I like WAR! comic's Soldier so much more than the new Soldier. Of course, it's probably because Soldier drank lead-poisoned water, but I wish they would remove the lead from Soldier or something in Issue #7
