All we know for certain is that Dell is currently working for Helen due to lineage that Radigan started. The catchup comic connects the Classic team as the link between the Original team and the 2 team. So it'd follow that the Classic Engineer would fit the bill.
However, this issue throws sand in the face of that connection, as the Classic Heavy alludes to there being [i]different[/i] teams in between the times of Helen having employed the Classic and 2 teams. So there's nothing exactly pinning the Engineer's father as Fred necessarily, just that one of the Engineers along the way was his father. It could be Classic Engineer (Fred), it could be Echelon Engineer, Citadel Engineer, Vanguard Engineer. It could be literally any of them as Dell's actual father but there's nothing concrete about it other than the fact that he's dead by the Classic team's hands or was a member of the Classic team himself.
I felt a bit of sad when spy hold's scout body and tricks him by disguising as Tom Jones and says that he is his dad. but then i laughed when scout just came back and spy just had enough of him coming back to life now :v:

I know sniper's dad buggered off with the sub with all the weapons in it. But demo and his magical possessed sword was too great a duo to let go.
Also come to think of it, the sub had Sasha in it, and heavy gets sasha back. And heavy would probably know if it's the same gun, so that's a pretty bad plothole. Should've just give him Natasha or something, easy fix. Even if he's never been portrayed with another gun in media, just drop natascha on him, replace the existing line with "Ah, a new girl for me. Come, let me hear you sing". Boom, fixed

Iunno, that doesn't feel like what medic would do. He's all about experimenting and cutting shit up to discover stuff and see what he can do. Doesn't seem like he'd cheat his way to that for no obvious reason.
