Doesn't seem like there is a big enough con for such a good pro as 25% cloak meter back.
That's actually funny, as the regular cloak watch can be filled with at least 25% cloak when you stab someone, simply because his deliciously metal weapon comes flying towards you.
you guys are forgetting that 2 of the 3 watches don't rely on dropped weapons in order to recharge.
When you backstab someone, your are in contact with thier weapon. The weapon gives you 50% cloak IIRC.
this
This would actually be great!

Cloak and Dagger
you guys are forgetting that 2 of the 3 watches don't rely on dropped weapons in order to recharge.
dead ringer does, normal watch does
it's only the cloak and dagger which doesn't
so i guess this weapon should always be used with that
I think the heavy should get a "biggie gun" for a shotgun replacement: its like the minigun except smaller and less powerful.
I love the idea of the knife and the razorback causing an electrical fault, but most Spies nowadays know to shoot a Razorback Sniper to death.

That's why snipers shouldn't be alone.
Perhaps on Backstab instead of getting some more cloak charge you get an instant 3 second DR style invisibility.
This allows you to pull back and calculate how you will take down the next victim while giving the downside that you can't take out the whole assault party with a quick backstab rush.

The shotgun is already effectively a mini-minigun.
(Shotgun heavy rapes. People really underestimate that.)
Good idea, but I wouldn't use it.
The blade part needs to be made of copper and a wire should be wrapping around the handle IMO. Other then that it sounds pretty sweet.
But only if the wiring then hooked into the spy's invis watch.

That would make it OP against engies. You could stab them, disguise, uncloak, and stab.
wow. why do they even allow that.
hmm, so that means i have to consider alternatives. perhaps it could silence the enemy you backstab, so you remain stealthy and don't alert his teammates.
there are a lot of factors that make being stealthy a really hard thing to do.
They could do like in the VERY early version of TF2: A strangling "weapon" for the spy that lets him go into a third person animation when behind someone and silently, but slowly, strangle them by hand. It could probably work like the Huntsman taunt (but maybe twice as long). A pro that would compliment that very nicely is instantly disguising as that person.

Congratulations you completely don't understand the concept of the CnD
I like the idea. It'll balance crafting by giving the spy a melee weapon.

I would like a knife that does an ID steal as well, like in fortress forever. If you backstab someone successfully while disguised you instantly disguise as that person. A way to balance it would be different though.

I found this out fighting against the bots they added recently. "Oh, he's just got a shotgun! I'll kick his a--BLEARGH!"
the electric bulb should explode, blinding everyone near you, but you can't backstab again.
Interesting idea, could be pretty good with some tweaks. Although I don't know about the color changing corpses part. TF2 isn't a very serious game and I don't think people would think that in depth much of the time.

I was bored. I may end up modeling a fancier one in Max... we'll see.

Oh, just realized the wire would render the knife useless. Oh well, just a shitty Photoshop anyway.
How the hell do you Photoshop shit like this from scratch?
I was thinking the knife would have a copper tip and a small internal wire going from the handle.
There would be a groove in the blade to hide this wire so it doesnt get in the way of backstabbing.

Stemming from this, I had this idea, like the spy could get some kind of combat knife, like a KA-BAR knife, and do a 5 second or so animation where the spy covers their mouth and slits their throat, so it's silent but takes a long time and you are visible when you do it.
Maybe you can't recharge your cloak by using it, unless you backstab someone?
